Really, if we think about it, what are the pro and cons of this? Pros: • AMA will receive $60.00 per year from our members that race at any of the 3 AMA tracks. • AMA will receive the normal weekend gate fee of $40.00 - $50.00 per crew. • UMDRA will race for a purse of %100 payout to the final 4 all ready established by AMA @ $115.00 per UMDRA racer. • UMDRA class will use a points system already established and used by AMA (Sportsman) for easy scoring done and tracked by AMA. (if not then we can do it) • UMDRA will supply our own championship points purse. ($1700.00 as of date) • UMDRA will supply our own trophies and plaques • AMA is spending no money, but is allowing us to race at 3 of their races in 2010 with a max of a 16 car field. This benefits AMA and UMDRA. We will be a sanctioned class. Cons: •Car count. I believe with AMA agreeing to this, our car count should/will go up with better advertising and something set in stone. Eric, Well written. I have only one question. I don't understand this part. Wait, nevermind, I do. It's the points for raceday. I edited your post just a little.
The car count will come. -------------------- Craig Hairston

Someone thought of only paying out the top 8, expectations and motivation would be a little higher this way.
I have changed it to the Top 8 championship points payout. -------------------- My opinions are just that, mine and in no way reflects anyone or anything from the sites.

After talking to a few of our members about a class in AMA the point was brought up about a class name. UMDRA (pronounced UM-Dra) can not be a class name, due to the fact that were an online Association and AMA is one also. Does not make since to have an association with'n an association.
Some names have came across good but did not fit our overall theme of what we ALL are. Being Dragsters, Funny cars, Legends, Roadsters, Snow Dragbike ect..ect... I have sent the 2010 proposal to AMA today with a thank you note for the past 2 years. I also took an executive decision on our class name. Now going off what we have started years ago, and what we have been using at our Meet and Greets, I belive this is fitting for all our rides and UMDRA to use at AMA. Class Name: United Eliminator UMDRA Type rides only We have been running UMDRA Eliminator's at our MnG's and after a few head scratchs why not? It is what we all are, "United" and the word eliminator is well, self explanatory. U/E will and should follow your NHRA/IHRA number for the AMA races. The e-mail proposal "Bill" has been sent. This "Bill" has pass the "House of representatives" and is now on its way to the "Senate floor" Attached Image ![]() -------------------- My opinions are just that, mine and in no way reflects anyone or anything from the sites.

Handi and I have been driving this with AMA Dragbike primarily because of Handi's relationship with Scott V. As far as I knew, nothing had been set in concrete yet. I think firing off the proposal was a bit premature.

Ok, I can read in between the lines. I wrote this proposal back in Oct and with no one saying nothen I figure it was ok. I'm very open minded and welcome anything. I assumed (We all know what that means) people was happy and are waiting for this to happen and to happen very soon for there Vac time and plans.
Again, it was wrote in Oct. As far for the name we spoke on the phone and Its hard to get a name that works for everyone, I am thinking of everyone's ride that fits. We have been using it for the past 2 years its even on the trophys I made for our past MnG's. Heck I still would love to use UMDRA but I understand. I also thought it was a great way to tie in UMDRA to help us all out with the place to be. So I guess I'm saying is that I'm trying and now whats a guy to do. Can't win them all so I'm ready to read what ever everyone thinks and wait to see how long that takes. -------------------- My opinions are just that, mine and in no way reflects anyone or anything from the sites.
