Enchantments

[Bridie]

Bridie lay in a tree, the sun shone down in patches through the laves. Her tail was sswishing back and fourth in an amused way and her ears were pefectly still. Bridie's eyes were shut, she was day dreaming serenly but wasnt a-sleep so some form of noise could wake her up.

Bridie scratched herself behind the ear, she smiled, that was nice, she wished she was a rich countess with someone, to do that all day long. Maybe a hot guy. Maybe she could be surrounded by really good looking guys bearing lamb and racks of ribs, all sorts of divine food, and they all would scratch her behing both ears....This was Bridie's wolfish day dream.

Suddenly Bridie heard a twig snap, her ears twitched, her eyes pinnged open and she swiched position from laying down to sort of crouching in a kind of 'I'm ready for trouble' position.

Fyre had spent the day wondering the forest and contemplating the nature of the trees and the forest and its reaction to the presense of a fire mage. "Its so peaceful and quite in here" though Fyre to himself, "If only people could be more like forests" At that though he grinned slightly though it would have been lost to the casual observer in the depths of his hood. Twigs cracked softly under his feet, there seemed little need to be silent, these forests were almost deserted. Fyre stopped suddenly, he could have sworn he heard a soft movement up ahead though there was nothing to be seen. Fyre closed his eyes and concentrated, tendrils of his magic probing the forest around him, in a short time he felt a life slightly out of place with the trees around him. He focused harder..."Ah" he thought softly "A Lupusfemella life thread, thats why she's so hard to find, they're almost animals of the forest themselves"

Fyre held up his hand in the direct of the stranger, he was sure he could see a shadow in the trees just ahead "Hail stranger, I mean you no harm" he called. A small lie from a mage with a raised hand, but he was pretty sure he had no reason for fear or to harm however was up the tree, so he just stood still and waited to see what would happen.

[Bridie]

"Hail yourself Mr! A winged no doubt? And what would you be doing in the forest?" Bridie barked, she jumped down beside him, not looking friendly at all, yet still looking as beautiful as a girl could get. "Its not one of the nicer things to say when you imply that Lupusfemella are almost creatures of the forest! We are creatures of the forest, and you are not!" Bridie told, her ears twitching at other things, her tail swising in a half excited half angry kind of way.

The wind began to pick up, there were howles coming from afar... "It seemes my brothers and sisters are aleart to your prescense, so what is a winged doing here anyway?!" Bridie asked

Fyre alowed himself a small smile. "To true we winged are not creatures of the forest, we find it far to stuffy and closed, the open sky appeals far more to our senses." Fyre took a step towards the woman, and stopped again "As for what I am doing here my business is my own, however I have always had the need to wonder from time to time, and experience the elemts of nature first hand." Fyre dropped his bag at the foot of a nearby tree and sat down. "As for Mr, my name is Fyre Emberson, and who would I be addressing, it's rude not to introduce yourself you know?" Fyre settled himself comfortably on the ground and examined the woman before him, she had definate appeal, for a Lupusfemella, and judging by the howls in the distance things were about to get very interesting indeed.

[Bridie]

"I am Bridie, well, to humans anyway, I am Bridie...UFF!" she barked, "my last name is in wolf, so just call me Bridie" she told. Bridie flicked her hair as three men and two girls walked out of the clearing. "These are my brothers and sisters, I have need to know who you are and what you're doing here, so we're going to take you to the wise one, it'd do you right to not resist" Bridie smirked, her eyes sparkling with an emotion untold...

The three boys went to grab Fyre, the two girls started howling and Bridie watching, a smirk playing across her face, this boy could be the one they were looking for.

Fyre watched the males move towards him, with a simple flex of his shoulders his wings burst through his robe and he shot as high as the forest would alow. "I don't like people touching me" Fyre called down "I'm happy to go with you peacefully, I'm not sure there are actually enough of you here to hurt me anyway" Slowly Fyre dropped to the forest floor. "Now if you will be kind enough to lead the way I shall follow, but first, I'm hungry" Fyre sat himself back down, removed some travel rations and began to eat as if nothing had happened. He looked up at Bridie "All in good time, all he good time" he said and chuckled softly to himself.

[Bridie]

Bridies eyes narrowed, "give him a minute, and believe me, there's enough of us to kill you..." Bridie laughed, she howled loudly and over a thousand howls returned. "Now, hurry up, Sadie is dieing to meet you..." Bridie barked...

[Darksage]

Fyre stood up and brushed a few stray crumbs from his robe "OK then, lets get on with this" and he bagan to stride in the direction of the largest number of howls. "Can't keep this Sadie wating can we"

[Bridie]

Bridie growled but she was smiling, "come on then" she barked pushing past him, her tail brushing his leg. She wiggled her hips a little as she walked, three wolf boys were staring at her hips and around that area.

Bridie lead Fyre to a small collection of huts made from moss and trees. She walked into the biggest hut and whispered quietly with someone inside it. She returned from it followed by one of the older Lupusfemella. This one had silvery hair and shallow grey eyes, she heald a wooden staff and was leant over in a slight hunch. Her skin was old and withered but there was still a superb essance of beauty around her. Many howls followed this woman, everyone howled to worship her as if she was leader, but there were no leaders in Lupusfemella clans, they all worked as a team, like a pack of wolves. "This...boy? A tresspasser?" she asked, "Yes Wise one, I found him while I was...uhh...on guard duty in a tree to uhh...get a better view" Bridie panicked, three girls seemed to giggle, Bridie had been caught a-sleep on the job before and they knew Sadie wouldnt buy it.

Fyre looked at the old woman before him carefully for a moment, then bowed his head slightly and touched his hand to his heart in a gesture of respect "Greetings old one, I am no tresspasser here, I wonder where the mood takes me" Fyre paused a moment and smiled "And today it seems to have taken me to your doorstep" He turned a full circle to look at the people around him "With a little help of course" And he tipped his head in Bridie's direction. Suddenly Fyre threw back the hood of his cloak, his strange coloured hair shinning in the light and the flecks of fire in his eyes balzing "I am Fyre Emberson, a mage of the Winged, not some creature of the shadow sneeking across the land, what business have you waylaying travellers through the woods" He demanded

[Bridie]

Sadie smiled, "I've been waiting..." she croaked. Bridie stared, the whole group of them stared, no one spoke to Sadie like that. Many wolves started to growl but Sadie silenced them with a wave of her hand. She walked towards Fyre, "Many moons ago we migrated further north and deeper into the forest, we had to because of trespassers, soon we had a situation on our hands, it was my idea to bring some of the mages from different clans together to fight this evil. These trespassers have destroied a lot and our homes" Sadie told. Somethign ached in Bridies heart, a hand fell on her shoulder, another Lupusfemella had their hands on her shoulders. Bridie looked up, it was her brother, Maximillion.
