A side-scrolling shooter? I'd rather play on more-action packed games but this seems to be a good game, at least for a time waster.

Obviously, this game is geared towards fans of the anime.
If you're not a fan, then it's just another game.

But for people who know the anime (I think 2 or 3 of the remaining active members of this forum), this game has a bit more meaning.

Unfortunately, there's no netplay function as far as i know.
But the development for the game is still onging, maybe we get netplay someday.

Mild spoiler for anime:
[spoiler]I heard that the latest version of the game has alternate Homura (one that wears glasses). She has hockey stick and pipe bomb instead of machione gun.[/spoiler]

Some added info:
There is patch that lets you use the alternate version of Homura and Kyubey.
You can get the patch at tasofro's website. Its easy to find as well.
Hidden Stage:
[spoiler]You can access the hidden stage by letting Sayaka die before the last stage.[/spoiler]
I think there's a way for netplay but the steps are quite long.

Played the patched version of the game today.

A lot of fun. I used Kaname-san.

A little regret in not playing the game sooner. It's a lot of fun.

My favourite characters are Madoka, Kyouko and glasses Homu. Glasses Homu is fun and challenging to use. Died a lot at first with glasses Homu.. until I realized the pipe bombs can be thrown near or among groups of enemies and then exploded with the shotgun - it took some practice, but doing that helped me surive longer when going solo with her.
