Unknown to the average person, the Mini asa is actually a compact and great performing regulator, so therefore its cost is justified. However, it's a reg that only fits one marker, and that marker is impossible to build from the ground up like say a cocker..so you are buying it because you already own a Mini, so you are essentially paying 80 bucks for an On/Off either way about it... so yeah.

I already figured it was a reg. But still $80 for an on/off when you already spent $400 on a marker.

Well, it's not like this was something they came out with right away and held it in front of everyones face as the upgrade to get, it's been 3 years since the Mini came out, and now it's standard on the new marker. There were some technical hurdles of putting an on/off on a reg and they said that from the start, so I'm just happy that they made it at all. There is always the NDZ twister On/Off though, which will fit the Mini and any other marker for a significantly lower price:
