Biography: Born to elven mother Jada Il-Akila and human father Hadi Ul-Humam in the Desert Lands far to the east. His mother died giving birth to him and his father was killed in a street fight months before his birth. He was taken into the local branch of the Hashshashin and raised to fight. Began traveling the world in search of work at age 21.
Everything up until "Began traveling..." was a complete fabrication. While it is true he was born in the Desert Lands, he was born to a fanatical cult worshipping the dark Zirathog Lord, Zarim the Elder. His mother was picked to carry The Dark One's Essence and she carried it for 9 months, hiding her pregnancy from friends and neighbours outside of the Cult. When she gave birth to the creature, she did not survive the ordeal (to put it in kinder terms). This was an uncertain amount of time ago, anywhere from 10 to 10,000 years.
The Zirathog are a race of creatures that ruled the world aeons before humanity and it's ilk even crawled out of the sea, and began travelling other dimensions long ago. They were known for their tremendous psionic and magical gifts, with Zarim the Elder ruling them as a sort of hive mind for years. A defector soon managed to free himself of the hive mind and severed the psychic hold Zarim the Elder had over the Zirathog, so they fled to other dimensions. Zarim the Elder moved to a deserted planet beyond the stars where he sits to this day, master of a broken kingdom. Some mortals know of him and pray to him, and once every century he gives unto them a son. Zarim was the son of this century, and as long as he survives, no other son may occupy the realm of the living.
Zarim's true form is described above. He uses cosmetic magic to disguise this form, giving him the appearance of an elf, but anyone who can read auras or otherwise sense magic can probably sense something otherworldly about Zarim, like he is not who he appears to be. Occasionally this cosmetic magic will fade in parts or entirely if he becomes stressed or furious.
PRINCE STORY DETAILS ONLY: Zarim moved to more varied climes at one point in his life when he heard tales of kings needing some dirty work done and offering good pay. As it turns out, before Autticus took the throne, there wasn't much call for a corrupt, murderous, sadistic, drunken and drug-addicted mercenary. That is, until Autticus came around. As it turns out, there is a good market for psychopathy in the employ of a pyschopath. And this next job, Zarim feels, is gonna be big.
That is to say, it's going to be big if his damned contractor will ever show up.
