Canon Rules;;
Darkness On Rise is a game based off of the Anita Blake novels written by Laurell K. Hamilton. While there are many interesting characters in the novels themselves this game is based off of the information and ideals around it, not around the characters involved in the books themselves. We do not accept canons. There will be no Anita, no Jean-Claude, no Richard, etc...etc...
Instead we urge players to apply as and play originals. This gives diversity and concept to the board itself. We understand that it's rather difficult to make characters when you aren't sure how yours will be interacting with others, so there's going to be a bit of a list telling of the positions that are needed in each group/clan/sect or whatever else there is in groups.
So, to put it simply, we do not accept canons. Do not register as them. Addendum;;As an addendum to the information given above, creating canons that are already in some kind of relationship to another character is perfectly fine if you want to create the character that way. Just remember that in order to create a character with pre-existing relationship, you must have permission of that particular character's player before even mentioning it in the application itself. Addendum Two;;Located in the Information Compendium you may notice that the characters listed there are either TAKEN or OPEN. There is a canon list that the administration is creating based around these characters. You may create one of them but please contact an administrator first before registering via the Ask Anything Thread. That's what it's there for. Those are the only canons that we accept. No Jean-Claude, no Anita Blake, no Richard Zimmerman, none of them. =]
