Okay so i don't know much about anime because ive only recently started getting intrested in it. I have watched quite a few series over the years but most of the stuff i see floating about online i never even heard of.
Can you guys tell me the names of Good Mature anime like GITS, Hellsing, Gungrave, Elfen Lied and Blood+ because i don''t want to be downloading stuff that isent "my cup of tea" meaning kiddy stories and stuff that probably wont intrest me. I do like some of the teen series like Gundam and full metal alchemist but i'm looking for stronger stuff. No hentai though as that makes me sick. Thanks.

Ah yes perfect blue. Great flick. Tryin to think but I pretty much watch what ever I see and if I like it after the first couple of eps I continue if not "Delete"
Edit: I just remembered a fairly decent series. Shingetsutan Tsukihime (Vampire/supernatural) type of anime. 12 eps for a quick watch.

Some people might find it cheap and outdated, but the 12 episode OVA series of GUYVER is old skool stupid. Blood Geysers and Severed Limbs flying everywhere in this baby. Think of it as Power Rangers on crack as envisioned by Takashi Miike (Ichi the Killer).
Check out my avatar...that's the man himself, the Dark Hero, Bio-Boosted Armor Guyver Unit 1.

I have only seen bits of the anime. But I remember watching the American remake of the live action. Lol the first one I remembered had the guy who played luke skywalker(name anyone??) and some freaking hot ass asian chick.

Mark Hamill (SP) who undergoes one of the coolest monster transformations ever seen.
There's actually two live action movies and they're both, equally worth checking out.
The first one is done by the Director who did the sweet ass, gorealicious Re-Animator Horror Movies. So all of the cast from Re-Animator have parts in the first Guyver. Jeffery Combs (Herbert West in Re-Animator, The Question in JLU) has one of the greatest scenes ever committed to celluloid. Let's just say he gives birth to Guyver Unit 1.
Also, getting back to the anime front, THERE IS A BRAND NEW GUYVER SERIES THE JUST CAME OUT IN JAPAN LAST YEAR.
It's Called, The Bio-Boosted Armor Guyver,
I haven't been able to find it to download anywhere and have only seen the raw version with no subs.
If anyone could find it on Bit Torrents (since i have no frigin' clue how to even approach those suckers) it would be greatly, stupidly, frying pan in the face, morning wake & bake appreciated.
Gory and bloody doesn't always mean mature and intelligent.
Gantz allthough action packed and bloody wasn't exactly intellectual, even though it at times was a critisism towards a society that has kinda stopped caring.
The series 'Monster' is more in the direction of the topic thread I guess. others could be: Basilisk, perfect blue(movie), Serial experiment lain, Haibane Renmei and Ergo Proxy.
