Im a fan of movies, i watch all kinds. Except for the..weird and nasty ones. But what makes a movie great?. Good effects, or a good storyline? Its the storyline that makes the movie, and the effects that attracts most people.

What do you think is best?. Would you rather have a good storyline or good effects. Or even both if thats possible. But there are many expamples of movies that have more effects but not a very good storyline, and some movies with a very good Storyline but not as many effects.

Whats your opinion?

I think a good storyline makes the movie...but effects are a good side. But with all good effects and a weak storyline, the movie is only art in the graphics way. (IE: Advent Children) Now a good movie must take the watcher and keep them stuck to it. Narnia was a good example of both graphics and storyline. It kept to the book as well. Though sometimes movies can be good even if it doesn't keep enough to a book. Harry Potter and LoTR is a good example of this. And also some movies can lose their good. Star Wars in my opinion did that...There's my opinion.

Dont worry about just saying one opinion, this could be a long debate over time, or..just to complain about movies that dont make sense. I could go all out making fun of advent children but, too tired dry.gif

Advent Children was on my Meh-Meh list...It had good graphics..but the storyline lacked..even for someone who never played the game...

I like a movie that catches my attention, has good graphics, good battles (was watching the Last Samauri the other night). Having a story line that goes well with a book or game *depending on the type* is a good thing because people will not be disappointed when something goes really off course. Adding tweaks are fine but keep to the main point.
Special effects are definately a good thing too...like the griffins and Nyraids in Narnia, Marcus' wings in UnderWorld 2, and FF:AC. It helps make the fantasy come true and seem more then just a fantasy. Confuses the lil kiddies when they see lions and beavers talk.

Well a problem with FF: AC is that during the battle scenes, the graphics went a little downhill..that bugged me.

Nicely said. I loved the way they made Kadaj change into Seph which was awesome. There was more of Zack in the movie then I thought there was going to be which was a suprise. I went and borrowed the game from a friend so I could play it again.

I think with AC they should have stuck with the same story line, but made it stronger....not as fast, and more elaborate. To keep us entertained. Yes and the part with Kadaj turning to Sephiroth is pretty cool.
