These are the rules. Break them and be greeted with the appropriate punishment as listed along with the rule.

+++ OFFENSES +++

# Discriminatory Comments - Immediate AND Permanent Ban
NO. RACIST. COMMENTS. EVER. OF ANY KIND. Not on race, not on sexual preference, not on religion, not on anything. Any comment of this sort will result in an immediate ban. We're here to discuss Mahou Sensei Negima, not about which God is the true God or whatever. These are considered hate crimes, which are legal offenses.

# Cursing
Cursing would only be allowed in the "Hentai" section of the forum, and cursing includes the f-word, the s-word, any vulgar use of the human anatomy, calling a person bitch, etc. If you really need to express yourself with these term, use the punctuation trick like @$%, Sh%#$ @$$, etc. Or better yet, blank them out with **** or ((BEEP)).
Limited cursing is allowed in the RPG threads. Limited meaning "a$$" and "da^*". Meanings should be obvious.

# Flaming
If you attempt to annoy, attack, or insult any of the other members of the forum, us Admins and Mods will make sure you regret it. If you have any problem, feel free to PM/IM Okashira or ChibiSecchan, we won't bite your head off and one of us are usually online. If you have a problem with another member, use the PM to sort it out and don't bother the other members.

# Spamming/Flooding
Post count DOES NOT matter. Do not repeatedly making irrelevant posts or posting one-word posts (unless it's a word game or something of that genre). There won't be any immediately banning, but you'd probably be warned and those posts would be deleted.

# Off Topic
This is a minor offense, but still, do try to avoid it. Off topic post would be moved to a more suitable location.

# PM Abuse
The PM system is for private conversation between two members, not for advertisement of a thread or fan fic. If anyone is reported using the system as such, they will immediately receive a point against them.

+++ PROPER ENGLISH +++
This part got an independent section of its own, so you can see the importance. The problem of members using improper English--which includes no capitalization and/or punctuation, IM-speak, etc--is becoming more serious. And all these are heavily discouraged because:
1) These do not help improving our language skills,
2) These would make the forum less tidy, and
3) This forum does not only serve member from English-speaking countries, but fans from world wide who may not be familiar with English. Therefore using a standard, readable form of English is the duty of every member here.

Since the current system does not provide a concrete penalty for improper English, therefore, here's a new system for it:
1) A "Wall of Shame" will be set up in the Rules board. Anyone got caught using improper grammar will have their name and post recorded.
2) If you got 3 records on the Wall of Shame, you'll get a warning PM from the Admin/Mod
3) If you got 5 records, you'll have your Warning Levels increased.
4) If you got 7 records, you'll get a Flans Exarmatio, meaning striping of all status (admin/mod, access to the Hentai Boards, shops, etc) and a ban of 3 days.
5) Any more offence after the Flans Exarmatio will result in a permanent ban.

I know not everyone gets an A in English or even having English as mother tongue, but please try to use proper English: not AIM language, not gibberish, check your spelling before you post, etc. Also, decent punctuation. A few separations between paragraphs makes a large piece of text easier to read and the whole post will look more presentable.

+++ POSTING +++
While these are not rules that would result in warning or banning if you break them, but it was good suggestion that would make foruming more enjoyable.

# Do not double post unless it is absolutely necessary. There is a neat edit button that you can use if you've made any typo/mistakes. If you would like a forum to be bumped, please notify a mod via PM.

# Try to make your post coherent.
If you're asking a question, be specific about what do you want to ask about. Make a clear title of the topic unless it's a really general thing like posting fanarts. Members can navigate much easier in this way.

# Do not create a topic that someone else already has made.
Browse through the threads to see if someone had already posted the same topic. People could be annoyed if someone keep repeating the same question or talking about the same plot, intentionally or not.

Also, every single-character forums had already got a pinned profile, all written by ChibiSecchan. If you have a problem with them (typo, mistake, missing or unintentional misleading information), PM/AIM to ChibiSecchan, even if the profiles were posted by Okashira. Don't post any more profiles.

# If your post contains spoilers of the chapters, please specify which volume/chapter/episode you are spoiling.

# If you are going to post more than 3 images, only post links. If the image is very large or containing spoilers, also post the links only. Not everyone has efficient modems and slow loading really is really frustrating. If the image stretches the page horizontally, it is considered too big.

# If you're going to request something from a specific member, use the PM. Don't treat the forums as chatrooms or message boards.

+++ Avatars & Signature +++

# The maximum size for an AVATAR is 150x150. The maximum size for signatures is 450x500, including both text and pictures as one unit. Animated images may be used, but limit the size of animated images to 50kb. to ensure fast loading. Any signatures not found in compliance with the rules will promptly be deleted.

+++ Meal Ticket System +++

# Meal Tickets are the Mahora Academy forum currency. Meal Tickets are earned at the rate of 2 per post. These can be used for purchasing of products, or for betting.

# When any kind of transaction is made, either OkashiraShinomori or ChibiSecchan should be notified, or MT will not change hands.


+++ Shops +++

#Shops are special sections in the fanart topic where members can "buy" (using the meal ticket system) art from other members, such as sprites, banners, etc.

#Shops can only be opened on the approval of one of the Admins. If you would like to open a shop, contact a mod or an Admin.

# Merchandise is anything another member wishes to sell, and decides to charge MT for. This will most likely consist of art and the like.

#Merchandise in shops have set prices that are determined by the administrative staff. These prices can not be lowered or raised by shop owners. If you would like to discuss the prices, contact an Admin or a mod.

#Order of completion is up to the shop owner.

+++ Special Notes on User Names +++

Due to the large number of character referencing usernames, usernames containing a Negima characters name will no longer be accepted. Current users may not change their names to one containing a character's and no new users may join using a character's. Any user who joins under a character's name will have a new username assigned to them. Users who CURRENTLY have a character's name are exempt.
