Her Pactio Card?, Why isn't there any in the manga yet?

I mean, Sayo went with them to find Nagi, so I would think since most of the group has a pactio with Negi, she would too, right? But that's not the case. And being a Sayo fan, I would really love it if she got one.

But what would her artifact be?

Akamatsu made it clear in the story that Sayo can't get a pactio because she's a ghost. However maybe there is a loophole somewhere that Akamatsu will travel through later.

It's rather broken but here's my idea:

The actual pactio kiss can take place the moment after Negi dies. Chamo draws up the pactio circle around Negi's body and Sayo just before Negi expires. She'll smooch his soul just as it leaves his body.

Sayo can be a hold button of sorts. If Negi dies, she can possess his body and keep him in stasis long enough for Konoka to heal his injuries and then return his spirit to his body.

Oh. Did he? I didn't know that.
Whoops.

Well, if there were to be a time when Negi was about to do die, wouldn't the closest time be in his fight against Rakan?

I don't know, death is always a touchy subject, so its hard to use it in stories like that.

No one has really died in Negima though...

Scratch what I said about Akamatsu making it clear. I must have heard that from somewhere else.

mmm, in ch 253, it's stated that only a soul is needed to perform a pactio, and Sayo is 100% soul. The problem now is Chachamaru...

I wonder if it will complement her ghostliness or her new robot shell.
