These are the rules. Break them and be greeted with the appropriate punishment as listed along with the rule. There may be specific rules in certain areas of the forum, so be aware.
+++ OFFENSES +++
Freedom of Speech
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However, you must back up your statements with evidence. If the issue disturbs other people outside the involved parties, the issue will be immediately monitored/shut down by moderators.
Profanity
Keep it to a minimum; PG-13 is preferred.
Flaming
If you attempt to annoy, attack, or insult any of the other members of the forum, us Admins and Mods will make sure you regret it. If you have a problem with another member, use the PM to sort it out and don't bother the other members. Admins are indicated in Red & Blue and Mods are indicated in Green.
Spamming/Flooding
Post count DOES NOT matter. Do not repeatedly making irrelevant posts, "me too" statements, posts that barely have a sentence, or posts with only emoticons (unless it's a word game or something of that genre). There won't be any immediately banning, but you'd probably be warned and these posts would be deleted. If this happens often, prepared to take a leave.
Off Topic
This is a minor offense, but still, do try to avoid it. Label any such posts as OT, but keep it to a minimum. Off topic threads would be moved to a more suitable location. Excessive off topic discussion may result in the closure of the thread.
PM Abuse
The PM system is for private conversation between two members, not for advertisement of a thread or fanfic. If anyone is reported using the system as such, they will immediately receive a point against them.
English
All posts must be in English. We understand the diversity of the community and are very proud of it, but most of the members speak English. Spelling is not much of a problem as long as it does not prevent us from understanding the post. If you post in a different language (other than English), you are expected to translate it or it will be deleted.
+++ POSTING +++
While these are not rules that would result in warning or banning if you break them, but it was good suggestion that would make foruming more enjoyable.
Do not double post unless it is absolutely necessary. There is a neat edit button that you can use if you've made any typo/mistakes. If you would like a forum to be bumped, please notify a mod via PM.
Try to make your post coherent.
If you're asking a question, be specific about what do you want to ask about. Make a clear title of the topic unless it's a really general, like posting fanart. Members can navigate much easier in this way.
Do not create a topic that someone else already has made.
Browse through the threads or use the search tool to see if someone had already posted the same topic. People could be annoyed if someone keep repeating the same question or talking about the same plot, intentionally or not. If the topic at hand is an old issue, chances are there is already a thread about it.
Also, every single-character forums had already got a pinned profile, all written by an Administrator. If you have any problems with them (typos, mistakes, missing or unintentional misleading information), PM/AIM to an Admin, including which topic and the problem. Do not post any more profiles.
If your post contains spoilers of the chapters, please specify which volume/chapter/episode you are spoiling. Override the spoilers with the [color=DBCCA4] code.
If you are going to post more than 3 images, post the rest as links. If the image is very large or containing spoilers, post the links only. If the image stretches the page horizontally, it is considered too big. Not everyone has efficient modems and a slow loading time is highly frustrating.
If you're going to request something from a specific member, use the PM. There are designated forums and threads to request MP3s and Videos. Do not make a thread to request a file.
+++ Avatars & Signature +++
The maximum size for an Avatar is 100x100, 50KB. The maximum size for Signatures is 500x300, including both text and pictures as one unit. The character limit is 1000 characters. Animated images may be used, but limit the size of animated images to 50kb to ensure fast loading. Any signatures found not in compliance with the rules will promptly be deleted.
+++ Meal Ticket System +++
The Meal Ticket is not active. Please ignore it at this time.
Meal Tickets are the Mahora Academy forum currency. Meal Tickets are earned at the rate of 2 per post. These can be used for purchasing of products, or for betting.
When any kind of transaction is made, either OkashiraShinomori or ChibiSecchan should be notified, or MT will not change hands.
+++ Shops +++
Shops are special sections in the fanart topic where members can "buy" (using the meal ticket system) art from other members, such as sprites, banners, etc. *Not associated w/ the Meal Ticket System at this time.
Shops can only be opened on the approval of one of the Admins. If you would like to open a shop, contact a mod or an Admin.
Merchandise is anything another member wishes to sell, and decides to charge MT for. This will most likely consist of art and the like.
Merchandise in shops have set prices that are determined by the administrative staff. These prices can not be lowered or raised by shop owners. If you would like to discuss the prices, contact an Admin or a mod.
Order of completion is up to the shop owner.
