Not the whole answer I was looking for but good enough. They ate the limes for the Vitamin C in them that prevents scurvy.

Not necessarily digital. It is the thing that meausures wind speed. Commonly looks like three spoons radiating out from a central axis.

no your right on that one that's why the Robinson was going there it was the closest star and had a habitable planet, ie Lost in Space what a great show that wa, and an even cooler movie, i wish they would do a sequal to it
