Yeah, definitely not.

On the Tippman make sure it is a 98 Custom not a normal 98. The custom you can swap barrels and stuff on your own, the regular has to be sent in. Also don't let their fancy ads fool you. Sniper barrel > Flatline

okay i am gonna be new to paintball and while i was told to get a tippmann 98 that's abit of money for someone who is gonna be just starting out so if anybody can tell me what i should get for a starter gun PM and tell me i want something that's good but not expensive either

I"d say get a spyder or a tippman, at least something near $100 if you don't want the gun to break down on you, also don't buy a package where you "get everything you need" all of the additional stuff in those sucks! Buy the gun, then buy a 14 or 20 oz tank, then go find yourself a good mask.

Yeah that is the one you can modify yourself, that is why it has Custom in the name. If you want better accuracy get yourself not a Flatline. The flatline adds distance only, It does nothing for accuracy and also slows your paintablls down a lot. From what I've heard Flatline users have problems getting the ball to break on impact.

What the flatline actually does is put a backspin on the paintball, which gets it some extra distance. The slightest bump in the barrel can send paint flying to the side. I've got the 8" stock barrel on my gun, and that's actually pretty fine. There's tons of other barrels out there you can get, and the best I can suggest is look around a lot, and try to find user reviews.

Get a 12-14 inch sniper barrel for accuracy. One of my frineds has one and it is damn accurate, only drawback is it is harder to use the gun nrmally with the longer barrel on it.
