Let's just settle this, shall we? We'll use the first two definitions from dictionary.com (too lazy to find a real dictionary) since they are the ones that apply. The others refer to sport in a completely different context.

i love it. let's see the worst I have ever played would definitely have to be Water polo and that followed closely by church football on gravel. Sorry I've never played rugby or ice hockey or boxing.

or really any sort of objective movement

in debating using a dictionary definition for a topic is like commiting suicide - cause dictionarys are defining words which are put into all sorts of contexts and are usually too inclusive. for instance a man could be defined as a human male in a dictionary and of coarse you wouldn't be calling a babby boy a man. And if your gonna use it use one definition instead of three,

The following criteria i believe must be met for something to be a sport
1. You must train for it
2. It must be played on representative level (interclub, interstate etc...)
3. It must be recognised as a sport in a majority of the western worlds major sport institutes
4. it must be offiated
5. Perople earn a professional living from playing it
6. it must attract a following

There are many phisical activities that are not sports, remeber school camps low ropes, abesailing etc.. not sports.

once again there are games like handball and brandy - you can't call them a sport.

Have you even played paintball? How you can you even think that it's not a sport? Walk up to any professional paintball player and thell them it's not a sport and you will get smacked upside the head.

I wasn't going to say anything else, otherwise I would've posted right after BMK or even right after your initial response since I check the boards way too many times a day. Even if BMK decided otherwise, I don't care. But then you come back again with your opinion against something that's well defined by thousands of people and expect us to say that you're right? Just because the Commonwealth doesn't have a league doesn't mean that it isn't a sport. That's like saying since we don't play cricket in the US it isn't a sport.
