Who's sad to see SG1 go? it's been a long ride on two different stations (hbo then scifi) 3 if you count fox(yech)

Well it's not over yet, I'll cry about it when 9 is done.

I thought they might go for a 10th, but with an all new cast.

I haven't heard anything about it. I don't know how well it'd go over, anyways.

no tv show can last forever, we were lucky it ran as long as it did and its continuing in a new version :)

Unfortunately the new one isn't as good. But it has been getting better, I have high hopes for Season 2. Now if only they hadn't done a To Be Continued... over the season break.

I think any show deserves to be a little ruff in its first season, as long as it shows promise and follows through.. Just look at SG1's first season...it was alright but as the seasons progressed it just got better and better

Like I said its been getting better, I know SG-1 wasn't exactly a winner in Season 1.

I do like how they are pulling out the cast members who don't want to continue on. It's slow and easy. That way I think people will be more likely to accept a change of cast (but I think a few will want to stay on) for even later seasons.

I happen to like both Stargate series but i think a lot of this is because I liked SG-1 so much and now my little brother is old enough to understand it and Atlantis is starting which is funny because we are nine years apart and there have been nine seasons so far.

I would like to see at least three more seasons of SG-1, and I dont really care who they have in the team, I just want my favorite show to hold the record for longest running Sci-Fi TV show!!

Atlantis rox!! I am looking forward to seeing the characters progress. I think it is funny how many people do not like McKay....my wife cannot stand him, and I did not like him either..but he has gotten so much more cooler as the series progresses...so by season 9 he should be the coolest scientist ever!!

For some reason i thought it would be a Star Trek. But yeah Erok I totally agree about McKay.

Heh, I actually like McKay.

He isn't quite the kick butt scientist that Daniel is yet, but he is almost getting there. I think that he is one of those characters that you either love or love to hate. I like his wit and his jokes and his interaction with Dr. Zelenka is great. I love the banter that those two have.

So the brainy guys? Interesting choice. At least Daniel has learned some physical stuff over the years. Maybe McKay will be less of a wuss as time progresses.

Well, maybe they could kill him off then. That would be an episode I'd enjoy. Nothing against him personally. I'd just like to see a main character die hard core and then russian dude would get more of a chance to shine.

Yeah I like Zelinka better than McKay. He is still to much of an overbearing ass for my taste.

yeah but Zelinka just doesnt get the Ancient Tech the way Rodney does, while he can be whiney i think his character is maturing alot i mean look at the episode where they found ronin that was a hilarious episode and the interaction between him and ford was great plus he shot ford! he actually hit him who would of thought he could hit anything??? LOL
