I think there have been times when it wasn't as good as it could have been but its pretty good at the moment. It seems to have suffered from the problem that most long running shows like this that started out as big sucesses had. Viewers dont like change very much and to keep the show going for 11 years and continue to gain viewers has involved a lot of changes.
A lot of people didn't like the Congo stuff last year so that didn't help (I loved all that!) and were a bit worried that Noah Wyle wouldn't take on the role of the main guy as well as George Clooney and Anthony Edwards had. Now we have got past all these issues everyone seems to like it now. |

The congo episodes were just so different and put two of the strongest characters (Carter and Luka) in such challenging situations.

I haven't watched past seasons so can't really comment. My knowledge of past seasons is sketchy: Dr Greene having a brain tumour....that's about all I know.
So I'm a newbie to ER and have enjoyed this season so far. There have been some really dramatic moments: eg- the lady with the mental condition who threw his kids from the window and the stuff with Abby's kidnapping. Dr Chen's plight was emotional stuff too. |

LOL @ the last two choices in the poll Kate
 I've always had a soft spot for ER. I know many people had said that the last 3 or 4 seasons were not as good as the first few, but I've always enjoyed the show. I love the fact that we are always meeting new characters, and although it is sad to see old favourites go the fresh blood usually leads to more angst and laughs  |

Melian, I agrre with you.
I do admit that some episodes over the past few years haven't been up to the usualy standard, but that hasn't stopped me enjoying it! |
