First off DIETS DO NOT WORK! You need to change how your mind works with food.

Now for some lame advice: Try eating fruit instead of what ever you usually eat that isn't healthy, eat healthy food and stay away from macdonalds and KFC!

Now for some advice that may or may not work: Hypnosis.

Hypnosis is a natural state of mine that occurs whenever you watch TV, read a book, and even drive.

Artificially Enduced Hypnosis is a Enduced state of Hypnosis which gives you enhanced suggestibility and enchanced imagination. It is very similar to day dreaming. You are fully conscious, however are slightly more suggestable.

The suggestable state means that your sub-conscious mind is more reprogrammable ASSUMING you want to change. If you don't want the change, it won't happen as your mind will reject the suggestions.

Welcome to the forum!

What I don't understand though, is why you would come to a C++ forum for advice on losing weight.

Here are my thoughts:
  • Try your hardest not to eat an extra thing you want. Look for foods low in trans and saturated fats, like I said limit yourself. Force yourself to not eat other things.
  • Excersise, do ten push-ups and ten sit-ups every day. Try running a quarter of a mile. Eventually work up these goals to twent or thirty push and sit ups, and maybe two miles. All things start small.
  • Listen to relaxing music and get good sleep. Why? If you have less stress you might not eat as much (people eat to soothe themselves).
  • Ask for the help of a friend or family member. Having somebody to support you or put pressure on when you are slipping into old habits, can help you lose weight and stop from gaining it back.

Those are my suggestions. I hope you feel better about yourself!

Cheers,

gamehawk

Click

http://nutriflash.com/html/online-diets.html -- here
http://www.fitnessonline.com/ -- here
http://www.nutrition-healthco.com/ -- and here

Get in the gym, start eating correctly. See your doctor and get in touch with people that can help you such as nutritionists, dietitions (spelling lol). Go down your local gym and get a health check and advice on what would be good excersise for a person of your body type etc. (Running IMO and leg-press/situps)

There are lots of ways but the main thing you are going to have to do no excuses is start helping yourself. No sitting down getting all upset because your "fat", sod that man life is too long to be punishing yourself constantly !!

Trust me I weighed like 14 stone when I was 13 but I was 6ft so lol but I was still over weight by a few stone. I just got busy and kicked my arse into shape and now I'm in great shape, I can run my ass off and I'm a strong guy. It's all about will power IMO and treating yourself how you should have always done.

Good luck man

If you focus on the problem, all you will get is the problem. That is the problem with a diet. You focus on what you cannot eat so much, that you just wanna eat it even more.

EDIT:

*sighs* You know, it's wierd. We add so much emphasis on the over-weight/obese, people seem to forget about the large amount of people that are underweight. Where is the love for the thin guy?
