Title: Windows Programming Made Easy
Description: Inspiration For Win API Programmers

Daniel - July 11, 2006 12:19 PM (GMT)
Hello, I have noticed that we see many people come to C++ Game Dev, Try a few things and get into C++ programming. Then they try Windows programming and leave. I now know why this is!!! This is because people see in 9/10 tutorials the first page and it has a huge 100+ Lines of code on just how to create a window's program window. The reader automatically thinks, "What the heck have I got into". I have written this small note in the help section because I thought I might like to help people with Windows Programming by saying:

QUOTE
A window's program window is long because it has to have alot of things. This doesnt mean other things related to windows programming will be huge (like 200+ lines) . Some things are actually really really small and take up 10-15 lines. Things like adding a bitmap. Adding a bitmap to a windows box is almost as easy as an allegro one. So please read the whole tutorial before giving up.

Comments n e one?

Btw, I put this in the help section because this helps people with windows programming. But please feel free to move it to the right place.

that is indeed the reason. I don't know if the note will work but you might give it a try.

Now this is where we need someone (I'll give it a try) To write a really simple windows programming tutorial or we need Neken to make his engine with a function like CreateWindow(window_size_y,window_size_x) or something like that.

Thanks, Daniel
