Another Friday night blockbuster. Should be a big crowd at the G. Im backing Collingwood to win this - Use need to understand that Geelong havnt been playing attractive footy in the last month - Theres been games were they have been playing like shit but turning up for the last quarter or 2 and winning the game but at the end of the day they walk away with 4 vital pts but its a chance here were Pies might knock them off.

Geelong struggled against Freo - Ended up winning.

Geelong struggled against Brisbane for 3 quarters but belted Brissie in the final qtr.

Geelong struggled against Sydney for 3 quarters until Geelong moved into 5th gear and ended up beating the Swans comfortably.

Geelong even got outplayed by the Dees in the 1st qtr but then came back and recorded a comfortable win over them.

See the Cats are not playing that well. There a top 4 team and you can tell cause they have been coming back from being down to win and thats what counts. As i said they may not be playing good footy but at the end of the day they get the pts but i just feel Collingwood might be able to do the job on friday.

Now, Fremantle played an outstanding game against Geelong and were very unlucky not to get over the line. And lets not forget; Freo have come close to Geelong, the Dogs, the Hawks, and Adelaide. Freo aren't as bad a team as the ladder tells.

Despite how Geelong have been playing, they will still run away with the game when it is in the balance. They step up when it is needed, as they did against Freo, Brisbane, and Sydney. They were complacent when they played Melbourne, but they didn't lose a quarter. Lets be serious, they were not outplayed by the Dees.

Collingwood are no where near Geelong. Collingwood are only 4-4 are not an outstanding team.
Collingwood may push, but Geelong will answer with class. Geelong dominated Richmond last week, a team suprising many.

They were in the 1st quarter. They may have lost it but the Dees actually were playing some good football and looked like a team but from then on they just switched off. It was that only 1st quater.

Once again Geelong only turned up for 2 quarters and that was when they had that goal spreeing in the 3rd quarter and ran away with it but otherwise Richmond were playing well in the first 2 quarters.

So Geelong are so good that they do not need to be switched on for 4 quarters? Imagine a fit Ottens in that Geelong line up, and witness the difference it will make to have a big bodied experienced ruckman.

I don't agree that they were outplayed in the first quarter. I was listening to that on the radio and by the sounds of it Melbourne made many mistakes and coughed the ball up to a complacent Geelong, that still managed to win the quarter despite being 3 goals down midway through it.

I don't think Collingwood is a team with the ability to stick it up to Geelong this year. I understand what you are saying, and don't disagree that they haven't been playing their best footy, but it will take a good team to defeat Geelong, such as the Hawks and perhaps the Doggies and the Crows (Who i said would challenge this year, only to be laughed at..)
