Demons
These Hellwart creatures are exactly what legend has called them out to be. Ruthless, brutal, crude and above all, heartless. However does this make them entirely evil? In most cases they are and in some they are not. These beings of the underworld thrive on death, hatred, pain and wrong doings, feeding off the evil subconscious wills of others. Demons can be summoned by powerful spells and used to the will of the summoner. They are powerful and sometimes hard to locate. Various types of demons are known to exist; each possessing their own form of magic. Truly powerful demons mind their own business unless bothered. However, some disguise themselves as something else and live among the world. It takes a lot to tell the difference. Demons that are known to be lords have the fortunate aspect of doing whatever they wish, whenever they wish, without being someone’s lap dog.
[x] Name of Race : Demons
[x] History of Race : Long ago when the world was young there was a single and particular race of magical beings. This race was fluent in various forms of power that made them unique. Watched over by those of higher powers, the worked to maintain the status of the world and keep it in order. These people were separated, however. Some were magnificent and beautiful. They were flawless in almost ever movement they made. The others were not nearly this elegant. In fact they were looked to be deformed and unkempt.
When the world split into two halves, those that were beautiful were taken into the skies, given dainty wings and sweet voices. Unfortunately, for those that were not, they were pushed into a land of pain and discourse. Their cries were not to be made into song, and they would smell of cinder and sulfur. This is how the world created Demons and Angels.
Cursed by fate and left to writhe in madness for the rest of their unnatural lives (eternity), demons were forced into servitude by those who were stronger, those forming an anarchy over each other and a type of malicious dictatorship. Those who dared go against these rules were immediately put through torturous restraints, then later put to death. They would forever watch their counterparts bathe in happiness from afar and grind their teeth in dismay. The nature of what was now “Hell” only brought on the attitude and demeanor of what demons are known as today. Damned to feed on the heartache and melancholy of the world, along with its blood shed. They would never know remorse, or feel actual compassion.
This is what the world made them, and they would know no different. It wasn’t until demons began to grow into intelligence as they did conniving. When the Lord Demon Valois found a method of escaping to the world of the living in the form of a human, he became toe first to ever be able to produce a living breathing form of offspring. Unfortunately, his breakthrough left a rift between the spiritual and living world, causing a metaphysical loophole between the two. This is how demons were first introduced into the land of the living.
Able to now feed in peace and wander through the minds and souls of these new bodies, demons wished never to return to hell. Here they were free to explore and to wreck havoc. Unfortunately their form of fun would only cause destruction and the rift was eventually sealed. By then it was too late, and demons were already introduced. Mastering the ability of possession and utilizing their magical knowledge, demons worked through humans to produce methods of summoning and logging them into documents for future references. These rituals would pave way for others to break free of their binds in Hell.
[x] Life Span : The ability to live long long lives, demons are closer to being determined as “immortal”. They never age in any sense and it takes a lot to simply kill one of higher power. It is because of this their ages can span from double digits on to several and beyond.
[x] Social Habits :
•
Demon to Demon: It is a well known fact that the older a demon gets, the less prone they are to run in packs. It has nothing to do with growing into maturity. Instead it has a lot to do with their own particular greed. Point of the matter is, demons tend to dislike eachother’s company. They are distrustful of one another and can almost always be sure to attempt and keep one step ahead of the other. Now in very rare circumstances will a demon actually allow itself to work along side one or two others. These cases are rather rare, it has been noted to be only out of particular respect. More of a “Keep my friends close, but my enemies closer” sort of theory. It has tended to work on more then one occasion.
Demons also have the ability to recognize a species from hell as well as the breed of another demon from a distance. It works in the forum of a déjà vu feeling, but the feeling pulsates and makes itself well known. From there, they can easily tell where they came from, what they are, and what he/she is capable of.
•
Mating: Demons don’t technically believe in the word “Mating” unless they just so happened to be bound through agreement. There are two forms of this determined “Mating”. Demons have the remarkable ability to control whether they wish to be fertile or not. Thus, they can screw the entire world and not allow the other to become impregnated or for that demon to become pregnant. However, younger do have an issue with keeping this under control, and in many cases have constantly impregnated victims. So yes, in conclusion a demon can impregnate anything that they so choose.
1.The first and one of the more important forms are done through process of agreement. When the Lord Demon Valois made it so that the breed “Val-Kin” could be created, others wanted in on the bandwagon. The ability to reproduce their bloodline into a being that would be able to expose their power was actually quite satisfying. This process includes for a Serpent Head (A demon that has created a Val-kin line by reproducing with a virgin human female), such as Valois, to choose a worthy demon to eventually reproduce with a female of his line. These females are initially life-mated to that particular Demon so that if in any case, she seems as if she will not breed, the Demon is dispatched to do so when the time comes to keep the line consistent. Females have been raped by their life-mated partners because of the choice not to become impregnated. Unfortunately they do not realize that initially these partners are not out to harm them. Only to do as they bargained, and they will forever defend their partnered female until the death. This has nothing to do with love, although a bond is definitely developed.
2. When mating with another demon or creature however, this never usually comes as much of an enjoyment to that whom of which is being mated. A Demon does not entirely know, nor understand remorse and this can inadvertently turn into a form of either rough consensual sex or rape. Rape normally ending in homicide.
•
Birth: In carrying stages, demons or even babies that are half demons, will always last in a pregnancy stage of six months. However, it depends on actual BREED of demon in how smooth or rough the pregnancy will go. Some babies have been known to eat their way through the mother and others have been known to work the way a human birth would go. Nevertheless, the cycle to these pregnancies have been deemed abnormally painful in the process. These young tykes begin to develop their unique powers as they take form in the womb of the mother…in this case causing the mother to increase her eating diet, violent personality changes, and has been known to cause ulcers.
According to whom is the parent, the demon parent is likely to stay as far away from the other as possible. If the mother is the demon, she will hide away and give birth alone. If the father is the demon, then is likely to stay as far away as possible only to observe at a safe distance. If both parents however, are demonic, the father will keep away from the mother only to return for sexual intercourse, then disappear once more until the baby is eventually born.
•
Family: Demons are not at all family oriented. Their mindsets of being in a group that was based in love and cuddles does not quite click into place for any particular reason. Most newer generations are a lot less prone. Lesser Demons remain in things called Hives in which consists of a large group of a particular breed of lesser demons. They eat, hunt, breed and in many cases have massive orgies together. A Hive is about the closes one is going to get in family values for that of a demon breed.
•
Breeds: There is a whole list of Breeds to go on in the demonic world. Some are elemental others are psychic. Some feed on emotions while others feed on flesh. It all depends on that demon and where they originated from.
There are Nine Levels in the world of Hell, hosting various demonic entities that guard the domain and host those that have entered into it through their souls. The nine levels are divided into two parts; Upper Hell and Lower hell, according to where they are born or have been designated to. Some demons are not born into Hell and actually walk into the world of the living before the land of the wicked.
Upper hell:
1-Limbo
2-The Lustful
3-The Gluttonous
4-The Hoarders And The Spendthrifts
5-The Wrathful
Lower hell:
6-The Heretics
7-The Violent
8-Malabolgia (Fraud)
9-Traitors
[x] Political Standards : Demons don’t entirely work on a structure base. Like Moon Lupine you can pretty much notify who is Alpha and Omega. They are ruled by the four Crowned of Hell and ultimately Satan himself. However, just because they are the bosses don’t actually mean they listen.
[x] Terms used as reference : Demons are broken down in to a few groups. From here it is easy to tell their power points and limits, or what they are capable of achieving.
1.
Devil: A Devil is not the same term for Satan. However, a Devil DOES rank a little under those that are Crowned of Hell. These creatures have vast abilities in magic and are able to move in and out of the world of the living at will. Devils are not always this powerful, as they evolve from Lord Demons into Devils. Devils have the ability to call and conjure other lesser and some intermediate demons to their aid at whatever means necessary. Their power is immense and normally can take a physical as well as spiritual form. Holy weapons do not always have an effect on these ruthless damage dealing monsters. In fact some have no effect at all. Still, like all Demons they are faced with particular restrictions. Technically Devils have a Demonic form that also can be used in the spiritual and physical sense. However one of this kind does not need to show his or her form to show their power.
2.
Lord Demon: These are the elitists of their lesser brethren. They are highly intelligent and have the ability to take on spiritual, physical, human and demonic forms. They are also able to shield what they are without any complication nor is their human form flawed in the least. Most lords in their human form tend to look quite unique and “dark” in their way. Lord Demons are just under the notch of being a Devil, and have the ability to hop in and out of the realms whenever they wish to do so. Highly skilled in the magic and speak into any tongue they choose without having their voice to be distorted. Lord Demons can also half shift, not taking their entire demonic form when they chose to, and also cause catastrophic damage. These are the demons normally chosen to mate with Val-kin females.
3.
Devs: Have the ability to walk in and out of both realms, utilize a physical and spiritual form, and also a human form. The difference with a Dev is they are almost always flawed in a human form; meaning they do not always appear human. More so they appear a lot more like a “humanoid” if anything. Their skin is always discolored and their bodies are someone misshapen. Devs keep to the shadows, although they can walk about in the day without growing weak. They feed on the flesh as well as emotions and in various cases are the ones that tend to go on sexual sprees fertilizing whatever moves. Their voices are almost always distorted but can speak into any tongue.
4.
Daemon: Usually mistaken to be Gargoyles or a type of Dragon, Daemon work as personal Guardians of hell as well as Enforcers. They keep what is in within and what is out, to stay out. These winged beings take on various sizes and also can only be called into the world of the living if summoned. They only are able to shift into spiritual and physical entity but lack a human form, thus leaving them easy to spot. Daemons cannot thrive in daylight and normally sleep during early hours if within the living realm (As oppose to hell when they are constantly awake). Daemons can speak in any tongue, but choose to remain silent.
5.
Dweller: These beings do not have the ability to move from hell unless particularly summoned Dwellers tend to do exactly what they are told when they are told and nothing further or otherwise. They are almost mindless, feel little to no emotion and tend to be extremely swift. In the living realm they appear in shadow forms, as they are not able to take on physical forms. These particular demons work as messengers and are usually quite harmless. Dwellers are also mute.
6. Leeches: Leeches are the lowest level and most common type of demon. These are those that roam in inanimate objects waiting until they find the perfect prey to posses and feed on their emotions. Leeches normally run in groups, so normally if there is one, there is a Hive near by. Unable to take on an actually physical form, leeches rely on their manipulation to get what they want. They are unable to actually slip into the living world, so this is where they have been known to receive their name. A group of these pests will latch onto a demon of higher power or a summoned demon and escape along through the rift. Fortunately it is easy to return them back. Leeches do not have the ability to speak in any tongue other then demonic.
[x] Physical Attributes :
•
In the Eyes: Demons can do a number of eye changes. From narrowed slits, to full dilated pupils and a list of others. In demonic form lessers only have blackened colored pupils, but it is common for all demons to have it. Higher have an array of different colors. These same eyes are used to look into souls, and they are the reason many are warned never to look into the eyes of a demon. They will almost always utilize that power and sometimes without even trying.
[x] Special Markings : In truth demons do not bare any markings that would point them out to being what they are in human form. However in demonic form they are branded in Greek numerals by order of which ring of hell they are originally from. It has been known that when their Spiritual name is used, this brand burns right through the flesh and into the spirit causing immense pain.
[x] Special Abilities : Demons tend to be highly talented into a string of various things. They are actually quite versatile.
• Extreme Night Vision
• Heightened Senses (Sight, Scent, Hearing, Touch, Taste)
• Unnatural Agility and Strength
• Spiritual Form: Every demon has a spiritual form. In most cases this is actually called a type of “soul”. Unfortunately they do not work the same way any other soul does and have been hollowed out and molded into the personality of the Demon itself. These forms are precious to the demonic entity and if the spiritual form is in fact destroyed then the demon becomes nonexistent. This is where Demonic Names come on.
• A Physical Form: Only higher demons have the ability to take on a physical form to their choosing. However, the form that is chosen, is the physical form he/she will be stuck with for the rest of their days in the living realm. While every higher class demon can take on a human form, a separate physical form makes traveling simple. These are normally animal forms or inanimate objects such as stuffed animals of some kind. Demons are able to perform various abilities through their other forms and almost always have one particular feature that stands out from everything else.
• Human Form: Human forms are designated at how a demon chooses to appear before others in the living realm. Aside from their physical form, a Human form works as if one was running a simulation game. They think of what they want to look like, and bam, that is what you will be. This formation mold only happens the first time a demon takes a roll in the living realm, and like a physical Form, they will be stuck with that forever. It is because of this Dev’s normally come out deformed seeing how they lack most intelligence. Like a physical form, demons are able to perform various abilities through a human form.
• Demonic form: A demonic form is rarely seen in the living realm unless they wish to do so. However these horrid figures can range in a variety of shapes, sizes, colors, features and etc. Their power tends to run stronger through demonic mode and nearly unstoppable.
• Magic: Again, a demon’s abilities tend to base of their breed. Usually the easiest way to notify a demon’s abilities is by their single alias that they give themselves. Some tend to be elemental, psychic, physically strong and etc. Even lesser demons can provide forms of magic. They also have little to know problem with showing that they are magical either.
• Possession: Any demon has the ability to posses, including higher demons. They use their spiritual mannerisms to take over a body that is not their own and work as a type of puppet master. Some demons can posses more then one person at a time or even brain wash a being into their nature. A demon who possess one for two long can cause the effect of that person blending with their soul and becoming apart of it. Leeches are famous for that. The host’s soul eventually decays and the lecher either remains or abandons the body.
• Aroma: The presence of a demon is usually noted in some manner. The stench of brimstone and sulfur. Lesser demons can be easily scented by the humans and those who are low in their power. It normally resembles the smell of a burning building. Higher demons, however, cannot be scented or located by just anyone. One who is also higher in supernatural ability including animals and even babies are the only ones can smell the foul stench of a lurking demon.
• Now you see me; Unlike Val-kin or vampires, Demons do not perform eye tricks when moving. They are simply that fast. It’s a type of teleportation ability that causes them to break realm barriers and move about swiftly. It makes it harder to keep up with them.
• Souls: Demons are fascinated by souls and tend to use them as a diet to feed from. Soul draining was once popular but then it also killed hosts way to fast for experimentation. Souls can be manipulated and play with by demons. In fact, no one knows a soul better then a demon itself. They have the ability to look deep into souls and tell the person’s true nature. From here they can either change, manipulate or bring out that true nature according to what they wish. Soul robbing has also been a form of sport between demons, inadvertently killing their prey.
• Healing & Damage: Demons heal like any other supernatural creature. Swift and efficient. Their damage is almost doubled if using physical abilities. They can hit like a truck and cause more damage then one would originally take them for. Some demons are able to rip a person to shreds while standing a distance away.
[x] Personality : Once again, a demon’s personality works on their spiritual nature. Some tend to be a lot level headed then others. The majority of them are hostile and hold a type of bitter sarcasm to their demeanor. Always looking out for themselves and doing what they want first. Yes, they are selfish and crude as they are violent, conniving and unremorseful. It is their way. Although, it has been noted that demons who spend a longer amount of time amongst the living learn to grow certain emotions they are not initially entitled with. They’d never admit that willingly.
[x] Habits : Demons were not borne wicked, they are subject to environment. Their constant torture has bred them into what they have become now. It is because of this it is in their nature to become comfortable around chaos, mayhem, death, destruction and everything that comes along with it. It has become in their habit to understand the line of wicked, but they are not ignorant to what is good. They just do not comprehend it. Because of these reasons it has teetered them along what would be considered “evil” and has left them slightly misunderstood. Then again, not many have come close enough to understand, or let alone want to.
[x] Diet : All demons are pretty much gluttons. They are almost always feeding. Depending on their breed they can feed on emotions as well as flesh. In a normal dinner flesh and souls will suffice. In some cases demons will also devour the bones of their prey as well.
[x] Selected Environment : Darkness and Shadow. While all accept Dwellers can work fine in the daylight, it has been known to irritate the skin and burn the eyes. Lesser demons can potentially die from this even through a possessed body.
[x] Strengths :
• Spells and Magic: Demons are familiar with most magics as if it were by the book somewhere logged into their head. Although they don’t know the detail of each one, older and stronger demons have been known to be able to conjure without rituals and chants. They also have been known to manipulate and control the magics of others.
• Battle: Higher demons are not just metaphysically combatant but they are also highly trained physically. Most of their fighting skills tend to become adapted when watching and learning for too long. Demons, even those that do not seem as intelligent, are tactful. Most who understand they are weaker will back down from a fight they know they will lose. Confident and cocky ones almost always win. Fights have been always brutal in hell, and in turn, many do not fear damage. They have actually enjoyed it.
• Hearing: Demons have a strong sense of hearing other then their sight along. They are able to take loud high pitch noises and hear conversations over long distances that have turned to include a few miles.
• Sickness: The are immune to diseases of any kind, and if one is possessed by a demon, he/she is also immune.
• Sexual Intercourse: Like food, demons enjoy sex a bit more then most. It is the most pleasurable form of food, even if it may not be pleasurable for the partner. Those that have joined a demon in this and lived to tell about it have not had any complains as they have had scars. Demons tend to take what they want, even if denied to them.
[x] Weaknesses :
• What’s in a Name: Names are highly important to every class, every species and every type of demon. It doesn’t matter which. Demonic names are true names that are literally chained to that of the Demon’s spiritual form. When someone knows or utilizes that name the demon has sworn their power to that person and in turn, left themselves highly vulnerable. It is because of this that their names are never given to either each other or others. They will go by an alias name, usually that of a single word, and respond to it. No two demons have the same name. It has also been noted that demons will respond to this alias even if it is uttered. So in other words if on were to mention the name in conversation, it leaves an open airway for that particular demon to hear if not see the person who mentioned it.
• Holy Items: Val-kin can resist these things a lot easier then Demons. In fact Demons tend to become initially weakened by them on contact. If a holy item actually pierces a demon’s flesh while he/she is in human or physical form then they can become paralyzed, but not killed.
• Holy Grounds: Oddly enough, Demons can walk into places such as churches and cemeteries. However their power is bore down to such a minimal that performing a simple soul search can become nearly painful.
• Holy Water: Normally it tends to simply burn the skin and eyes, but eventually healing is not much of a problem. If, however, consumed orally, then their spiritual form is at jeopardy and can cause massive pain.
• Seals and Insignias: Not everyone can create a seal, but those into magic and Val-kin whom are well trained can form seals. These seals are made to bind a demon into one spot. If not careful a demon can outwit whomever is trying to bind them, and so it takes them to be distracted to pull them into a seal. Most summoners pull them into seals while in the middle of summoning.
• Salt: Salt is made to keep them out of a variety of areas, and if spread in doorways can keep them at bay. However if the salt is breeched then they too will enter the building.
• Iron: Pure Iron is will not kill a demon, but it will send them back to hell badly injured.
• The Rite of Axis: This is a ritual that is usually preformed to expel a demon’s soul into oblivion and leaving nothing left. It involves a sacrifice of a young lamb, spilling the blood onto a piece of paper marked with the demon’s actual name. From then the paper is burned in the fires of a blessed candle and sprinkled with pure salt.
• Exorcist: Not always useful, but it has been known to expel Leechers and place them into hell. Lord Demons and Devils are nowhere near affected by these rituals.
• Light: Light of any kind tends to do harm to the eyes and irritates the skin. Otherwise it has no deadly effect unless one is a Dweller.
[x] Other:
