Name: Wentz Valentine
Age: 23
Description: With a strong jaw and teeth as white as pearls, Wentz could charm any lady he desires to. His chocolate coloured eyes compliment the man’s raven hair – both of which are inherited from his farther that many note he carries a strong resemblance with. Wentz’s naturally toned body stands at 6’2 and with broad shoulders and strong muscles; the young Valentine has all the physical attributes one might hope for in a constable.
History:
For as long as Wentz remembers, he has always wanted to be part of the Constabulary. As a boy he witnessed the murder of a local woman. She was stabbed and robbed; the murderer fleeing from the scene, unaware of the youngster who was standing at a nearby window. The child rushed to see if the woman was ok, but by the time he reached her she was too far gone. This is when Wentz was first introduced to the police force – being interviewed by a constable about the crime. Unfortunately, they didn’t have enough to go on; Wentz not having seen the murder’s face or where he fled to; so for the most part, the crime went unsolved.
Months went by and the murderer’s trail grew weaker and weaker – everyone giving up hope on ever finding him. That is until Wentz received a very special message. On his way home from school one day, he saw her; the woman who was killed. The ethereal spirit was standing in a crossroads, her bloodied arm raised; pointing in the direction of Shelmerdine Street. No one else could see the ghost, for only he was meant to. Being the bold child he was, Wentz followed the sign. He travelled down the street, the spirit appearing every now and again, silently guiding him closer and closer to where he’d find the killer. Eventually, the trail ended – the murdered woman stopping in front of a house, her eyes looking wrathfully towards the entrance of it. Wentz knew immediately what it meant; that inside the home he was facing was the ruthless killer.
The young Valentine found a constable and led him to the murderer’s home. At first, the officer was sceptical about the whole ordeal, but once inside he began to realise what a twisted mind they were actually dealing with. Inside the home was numerous weapons, some of which were illegal for citizens to possess, and upon further inspection, the stolen items were found. This was indeed the murderer, and after gaining backup from fellow constables, the killer was caught. Wentz was forever changed after the tribulation – the immense satisfaction that came from catching the criminal being unlike anything he ever felt. After that, all he ever wanted to do was catch the bad guys and defend the innocent; hoping that one day he’d even be part of the coveted Chamber 317.
Job: Constable at Mathonwy Constabulary
Personality: Driven and ambitious; Wentz carries a restless soul, one that is bold and eager for adventure. Some mistake his natural confidence for arrogance, but the constable tries his best not to be excessively so. He hopes his innate charisma and good people skills will enable him to go far in his line of work; yet with a flirtation steak, among other things, that the man finds difficult to keep under wraps, Wentz worries his dreams won’t become a reality.
Dead People: Morgan Pan – the murdered woman who appeared to him as a spirit. She has not visited him since he exposed her killer for what he is. Ophelia Raine (Nee Valentine) – His father’s sister. She died after a sudden illness overcame her just over three years ago. Jensen Valentine – His grandfather. Died peacefully at home when Wentz was just 17.
Scene: Wentz sits up in his large king-sized bed; his bare chest exposed to the chill of the morning air. He looks over at the empty space beside him; a space that has been unfilled for far too long. Thoughts of a former love begin to whisper inside him, memories of one in particular starting to ache themselves back into the forefront of his mind.
(I’m so sorry Bree.) Images of the blonde beauty form in his mind’s eye - memories of them both: waking up with her in his arms, passionate nights beneath the covers, introducing her to his family, being introduced to hers… the betrayal, the break up. They went from being so in love to her hating him with a passion. He cheated on her – he slept with another woman and she found out. They were never the same after that, she couldn’t trust him, nor could she bear to look at him. At first, they attempted to put it all behind them, Wentz was sorry too, really, really sorry; yet Bree couldn’t live with it and called an end to their relationship. However, Wentz has never stopped loving the woman. Sure, he’s had occasional flings since the pair broke up, but none have touched his heart like Bree did. He’ll never forget her, and he misses her dearly.
