I like Matthew 13:44-46 (The Parables of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl)
Those are like the two shortest parables in the Bible, but I think it's really fitting, since they're talking about hidden treasures. It's so inspiring to see how we're supposed to view our relationship with God as an incredible treasure that we would give up anything (and everything) for, I guess especially since I find it so hard to do sometimes. - Jonathan |

I'll just jump start some discussion and thought on our new Bible study topic, the Parables of Jesus. We'll be mainly looking at the books of Matthew, Mark and Luke to see how Jesus used simple stories to reveal deep truths about our walk and relationship with God. Sure, we learned the parables in Sunday School, but now they're not just stories!
So... Which is your favourite and why? Ben |
