Round 2 of the clubs's motorsport calendar kicks off again on June 13th and 14th next when Imokilly Motor Club host a round of the National Autocross Championship.
The venue for this will once again be held near Ballymacoda village.
Following on from the success of this event last year, a very good entry is envisaged once again when both the specials and the rally cars will be battling it out for supremacy over the two days.
Plans for the event are already at an advanced stage with all the relevant officials in place led by C.O.C Jamie McCarthy.
The event will kick off on the Saturday with scrutiny at 1pm followed by practice at 1.30pm and the first time run scheduled for 2.00pm.
On Sunday scrutiny will be at the earlier time of 12 noon with practice at 12.30pm and the first of the time runs scheduled for 1pm.
The Club would encourage and welcome as many competitors as possible who hold the relevant competition license to start working on your cars now and be ready to head to Ballymac on what promises to be a very enjoyable weekend of motorsport on a challenging grass surface. Clear blue skies and blazing sunshine were the order of the day last year and we hope for the same this time around.

welll lads.
went down to cork this weekend to have a look at the competition. some very nice bits of machinery down there, looks like a good bit of fun and thanks to alot of people for all there help with our questions on setting up the car. someone tried putting me off the renault 5 though :angry: . anyway have made the decision to go ahead anyway and with a bit of luck the build will start on friday!!!! brace yourselves for a barage of questions lol.
