hey lads have had a very good offer on a renault 5 1989 1100cc
would ye reckon that this once preped for inspection, could be a good car for a/c ??? if not whats the best. im just worried 1100 might be a bit slow. or is there a handicap sysstem in place?

you would be in class 1 craig. class 1 is for cars up as far as 1400 or 1.4 litre. to be honest ive never seen a renault 5 autocross car but it will be something different for a change i suppose

ha ha love it. i thin they are a great car for the job, plus i have had a good look and there is a massive amount of mods available off the shelf so happy days. are many people heading down to the event in bandon, im goina head down and have a look.

mite go for a look ill see wont be driving in it anyway,

no havent bought yet but hopefully within the next two weeks ill have a mint renault 5 in the workshops.have many people got proper sponsors for racing autocross???

theres sponsors around for everything, ask everyone you can think of anyway :toot:

if you can get a spare engine and box for it it would be grand cause those 5's break your heart, had a gtt for the road. not sure what the 1.1 n/a's are like but hell if you can spare the change for one go for it!!!
