It only feels like a couple of months have passed since the West Cork rally crew of Keith Cronin and co driver Anthony O’Connaill brought their Mitsubishi Evo 7 to the finish ramp in Banna Beach Holiday Resort to score their first rally win. But 10 months have passed and Kerry Motor Club are at the final stages of preparation for this year’s Banna Beach Holiday Resort Mini Stages Rally which will be held on the 9th November. Clerk of the Course this year will be Kevin Walsh who previously ran the rally in 2000 as well as been a former Clerk of the Course for the Circuit of Kerry and Kevin is delighted to welcome back William Murphy of Banna Beach Holiday Resort as sponsor of this famous November event.
Kevin and his team have put together a very competitor friendly route consisting of 2 stages repeated twice with service based near Tralee. Entries will open online on the 1st of October and close on the 23rd and a link to the online entry will be available on the club website (Link Below)
Headquarters for the rally will be the Banna Beach Holiday Resort and accommodation details can be found at www.bannabeachhotel.net. This self contained holiday village boasts four star holiday homes, gymnasium, swimming pool, astro turf pitches, basketball court, playground, restaurant, bars, supermarket, surfing facilities and rally rates will be available for the rally weekend. Entertainment will also take place over the weekend in Banna with live music in the bar Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights with the showing of the days action from the rally on a big screen Sunday evening.
So mark the date in your diary and come to Kerry for what is sure to be another memorable weekend of rally action and craic in Banna.
