SSB Brawl Megathread, Mario v. Sonic v. Snake v. ???

EDIT: Welcome to the Super Smash Bros. Brawl Megathread. Most of us at AniGamers are big Nintendo fans, and no game gets our geek glands running faster than Super Smash Bros. Feel free to discuss in this thread anything involving Nintendo and HAL's newest excursion into the massive crossover fighting game series. Try to restrict discussion of Dojo Day or the Super Smash Bros. Dojo announcements to the uComments section. Even so, there is a fair amount of crossover, so don't worry about it too much. Enjoy!

So, I'm just wondering what characters you'd enjoy being playable in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. installment for the Nintendo Wii. And of course, please TRY to be cannon. Which means like no Master Chief from the X-Box only Halo series.

Some characters I'd like to see the most are Sonic and Mega-Man.

I'd also hate it if they cut any characters from Super Smash Bros. Melee. That would not be cool. But, they should put The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker Link as the character "Young Link".

Recently, a character I've wanted to see in the Smash Bros. game from The Legend of Zelda series is Midna! Yeah, I said it. Her moves may clash a little with Zelda's move set, but her UP B (or whatever it will be on the Wii ) move should be the cool twilight teleport she uses in the game. And her grab can be that spiritual hand that is behind her head.

I just think that'd be a cool idea.

Whoa, Oracle, careful there! I edited your post for what I believe are Twilight Princess spoilers.

Anyway, WW Link is (questionably) confirmed to replace Young Link, as is Ridley and Bowser Jr. to replace Game and Watch and Ice Climbers.

Sonic is almost confirmed, and Megaman is unlikely but still possible. And Phoenix Wright! Come on, you know you want the up B move "OBJECTION!" Another interesting addition would be a loaded Mii. Sure, it might be stupid, but it would be a randomly fun little twist.

Oh, and his name is "Master Chief, not Commander Cheif.

I thought this was just a rumor... Do you have a source stating this??

I seriously wanna see a new original character, just from the super smash series itself. Like a wireframe guy but with a little depth to it ya know?

What would also be cool is an anime character introduced who was marketed by nintendo, possibly naruto and sasuke or something. The special moves are plausible with them at least. Rasengan and chidori could be some, and the sharingan could be like a counter-move or maybe a copy move like kirby. Naruto could charge-up his demon power too. Its unlikely, but it would be cool. I mean if snake got in there...

Samus is obviously for fanservice. BOOOOOO!!!!

VamptVo, i dont think Phoenix Wright has a place on the brawl field

fireemblem character that doesn't use a sword. A lance would be nice except it would have crazy range

Shy Guy: just because he's playable in like every other nintendo party game and could pretty much have any crazy attazk he wants.

I once had an idiot tell me that James Bond and Goku should be in Super Smash Bros., simply by virtue of the fact that they had games released on Gamecube. Hurr.

Yeah, I definitely like that we're finally starting to see new characters on the Dojo blog. The new stages and assist trophies were cool, but it's really the characters that everybody cares about. You just watch: They'll save Sonic for last, because they know everybody wants him.

I think they should put in Krystal from Star Fox (no matter how much Vampt Vo hates this idea ) and Palutena from Kid Icarus.

LEON SCOTT KENNEDY

Leon might work, though he's a little hard to fit into the Smash Bros. motif. Harder even than Snake I'd say.

As for a suggestion, Megaman: He's had tons of games released on Nintendo systems, by Capcom, a company with no real ties to any first party. In addition, he fits the visual style of Smash Bros. perfectly. Finally, he's Capcom's age-old cartoon mascot. And everybody wants to do Nintendo(Mario) vs Sega(Sonic) vs Capcom(Megaman). Don't deny it.

Based off of my knowledge of Nintendo characters, and IGN.com's Smash It Up articles, I have formed a list of new characters, special costumes, and a few appearance changes that I would love to see appear in the game. Without further adieau, here is The Oracles' SSBB Wish List:

Nintendo Characters:
Ridley from Metroid Prime series
This character would be hard to do, but he could be similar to Pokemon Trainer's Charizard.

Captain Olimar from Pikmin
He could have attacks utilizing all of the Pikmin's abilities, and maybe even a move that will atrract all the characters towards him, similar to the Pikmin in the game. He could use his space ship in his final smash! :]

Mii from Wii
Download Miis from your Wii system memory, and they could have a certain moveset using moves from Wii Sports or something like that.

Bowser Jr. from Super Mario series
He shouldn't be a direct clone of Bowser, but he should have some form of Bowser's moveset, but also interesting ones that separates him from Bowser. He should also be faster than Bowser.

Waluigi from Super Mario series
He would have the "W" emblem that Wario has and he could have some interesting attacks similar to both Wario and Luigi.

Midna & Wolf Link from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Some of their attacks could include, the up smash move of Midna's teleportation, the down move of Midna's circle of dark energy, and the spin attack can be standard. Midna can use her giant hand on her head as a grab and tether recovery.

Krystal from Star Fox series
The newest member of the Star Fox team would give Smash Bros. not only another female fighter, but can also be different from Fox and Falco by using her staff and whatnot.

Doshin the Giant from Doshin the Giant
A character that I know little about, but he just looks like a cool character to bring back from Nintendo's Japanese history, like they did with Marth and Roy.

Micaiah from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
Ike's partner in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn can utilize some magic spells to shake up the Brawl-field. Plus, seeing a magic battle between Zelda and her would be interesting too. :]

Vaati from The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords series
The enemy from the four swords games. Vaati will resemble his Minish Cap look, and his final smash can transform him into the magic mono-eyed monster from Four Swords.

Ray 01 from Custom Robo series
A robotic character that would just look cool faced against the other characters in Brawl, with all his mechanized attacks and weaponry.

Isaac from Golden Sun series
Another swordsman who would look cool and anime-like.

Birdo from Super Mario series
Birdo can have a similar move set to Yoshi, can can even have Yoshi's egg emblem. Her standard smash move can be a chargeable egg that she can shoot.

King K. Rool from Donkey Kong series
Donkey Kong's main enemy will be one of the heavy-weight characters and can fit in nicely with the other characters and as one of the themes of the game, he is another addition to a game that has a smash character.

Third-Party Characters
I understand that Sakurai only wants a few Third-Party characters, so this list is short.

Megaman from Megaman series
Hehe for the oh-so-many reasons stated above. ;]

Leon Belmont from Castlevania series
He would have an interesting moveset and a cool look, but I'm not so sure he'd fit into the game nicely with the other characters. But then again, look at Snake.

NiGHTS from NiGHTS series
What better way to promote the new game coming out for the Wii? NiGHTS would be interesting because he would move like Mewtwo and his jumps and gliding would be fun to use and magical. His attacks should not be the strongest, though.

Tails from Sonic series
I'd prefer only Sonic, but Tails is also a character that fans have been longing for. His attacks would be cool, along with his gliding and jumps. If he is not a character, he has a very good chance of being an assist trophy.

Costumes & New Looks
Dr. Mario from Dr. Mario series
Instead of him returning as a character, I believe he will be better suited as one of Mario's costumes.

Female Pokemon Trainer from Pokemon series
Pokemon Trainer should be able to have his female counterpart as a costume from Pokemon Leaf Green and Fire Red versions.

Dark Samus from Metroid Prime series
Exactly as Dark Samus looks would be cool, instead of making her a new character. She would look cool to play as on the Brawl-field.

Young Link from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
I think the new Young Link should be the cel-shaded character from the gamecube game. He can also have new moves from that game.

Daisy from Super Mario series
Peach's costume should mimic Daisy' appearance perfectly, including the change in hair length, eye color, jewlery and clothes colors, and crown.

Original Wario from Super Mario series
One of Wario's costumes should be his original yellow and purple ensemble.

Ganondorf from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Ganondorf should have an updated moveset and look mimicing him from Twilight Princess.

Shiek from The Legend of Zelda series
I think Shiek should return due to her importance in SSBM, only with an updated appearance of what she could have looked like if she were in Twilight Princess.

Shadow & Silver from Sonic series
Sonic's costumes should make him look like his rival hedgehogs, the black and red Shadow and the silver and white Silver.
