Recently I finished watching Death Note, and it is definitly one of my favorites. I'm looking for more dark anime, but I can't seem to find any.
So here is my question:
If I liked Death Note, what anime would you guys recomend for me?

If you like animes that have a touch of the "dark side," try fullmetal alchemist or neon genesis evangelion. If you liked the crime-thriller aspect, try Ghost in the Shell: Stand alone complex. If you only watched it for L and Light fantasies, try /a/.

Or just watch Boy's Love. That always works, if you're into that sort of stuff.

Seriously, try looking out for Ohba and Obata's (Death Note creators) new manga and its inevitable anime adaptation, Bakuman. Here's a news post I wrote about it: http://www.anigamers.com/2008/08/death-not...nching-new.html

Also, if you're into mecha, Code Geass and Gundam 00 are both very cerebral mecha anime with a whole lot of the chess-style one-upsmanship that goes on in Death Note.

If you liked Death Note, and you really liked the intensity, and the two-man series-wide chess game, definitely go with what Vampt Vo recommends, but also check out Berserk for darkness and bloodshed....so much bloodshed. Hands down, one of the darkest fantasy series out there.

Alright, so I tried looking for some of those anime on the internet, but youtube seriously didn't have some of those.
Where should I look for them?

Well, in all honesty you should be looking for legal ways to watch them. Code Geass is currently airing on Adult Swim, and you can catch it through adultswim.com or Comcast's OnDemand service if you have it. As for Gundam 00, it'll be premiering on SCI FI Channel Mondays this October if I'm not mistaken. Berserk, Code Geass, and (in the coming months) Gundam 00 should all be available on DVD as well, if you're up for that.

Or if you're smart, you should try veoh or crunchyroll. Sorry, Vampt.

Fine by me. I just find it hard to stand in front of a voice actor and ask him questions about a show that he worked hard on and I stole when there was a cheap, legal copy available. Maybe other people have no qualms with that, though. That's their prerogative.

Hmm, true. Though shouldn't the evidence of illegal downloading suggest the large desire to bring more anime to television? I mean if anime were shown more than just sparingly on Cartoon Network, Sci-Fi, and a movie channel here and there, then the entertainment companies would have as many more viewers as there are illegal downloaders, wouldn't they?

It might be a good idea to start a new thread on this...

Alright:

I will watch those anime on internet,
and when they come out at the store I will buy them
and if they are on TV I will watch them

I think that is a fair compromise.
