I've got a few questions for the warlords about sniping.

First, I understand (or at least I think I do) the basic premise of sniping: one main person is piled, while snipers drain the food/prayer of other targets. But I think that perhaps our clan doesn't have enough people and high levels to successfully snipe. Our main pile targets always tank for too long.

BSE vs. Imperial Phoenix. Damon, since you were at the war perhaps you can tell me if I'm wrong, but I saw straight piling, and it looked pretty effective to me.

Should we continue sniping or just stay on one pile until we get more people and better levels?

By the way, Kevin and Damon, you two are in charge of the wars later today. Lamb and I will follow along.

If you pay close attention to the video there are small bits of sniping here and there, but only of the mages.

Snipers don't just drain teh food/prayer of other targets, they try to get people OFF OF THE MAIN PILE... this way our fellow clan member can tank longer. Snipers MUST immediately get the binders if possible, because binding costs very premature deaths in wars.

The reason you saw straight piling and that it worked is because the clan is full of high levels, and a lot of them. As you see in the video, each clan had a pull of over 30 !!! Most of the people were like 90+ and there were quite a bit of 100+s. With high levels and a lot of people with higher stats, the hits can be dealt faster and higher, causing faster deaths. Therefore they concentrated everybody on the pile, because it's better: faster kills, the sniping won't do too much. Even if the tanker has good high defense, it's a lot better if you have everybody on the pile, especially your snipers who either have high ranged or attack.

Alrite damon, in the case that my dad's all annoying and doesn't unblock runescape, you'll be the only warlord, and I guess you will be "in charge of the wars later today."

sniping saved some of us. Me and homies sniped the level 113 mage to help get her off the tanker. This greatly extends the time a person can tank, and at the same time, its killing one of their more powerful members. sniping is almost a necessity. the main point is to kill the binders. the secondary job of a sniper is to kill other clan's snipers so our binders can successfully bind.
