Ok, since Lamb has promoted some of us to Event Coordinators, I think we need to have a certain schedule in which we plan events. Let's use this thread here to discuss planning of events, how we plan them, and how we determine who and when the next event will be planned.

I suggest we just do it in shifts, say have 2 or 3 event crew members work together to make an event(s) per week. Then when the week is done, the next set of event crew members will make the events for the following week.

But that's just my suggestion, I hope we get to see a few more.

Edit : Here's another suggestion. Maybe we should have a sign up sheet for us event coordinators over what types of events each one of us plans. I know Arthur and some others want to do more minigames, some of us want to work on pvp or pk trips, and some just want to do more skilling events. That way no one ends up not getting to do what they want to do.

Just pick which one(s) you'd like to help out in! tongue.gif

great idea, a big +1.

i may add something later, but tbh, you hit it on the head star, and i cant think of anything to add...

EDIT: maybe like a irc channel or something we can use to chat about event creation and time set ups. runescape cc would probly work well too, but through irc you can put in links, and you dont have to be logged in to rs.

i like the sign up for 3 people for mini games or pvp . i would like to be one of the mini game coordinators if thats what we do.

Star, you just read my mind.
Also, as we are supposed to have at least two events every week, how about each event is scheduled and attended by different coordinators?

What I had in mind is, since we have four weeks a month is:
1st week, let's say: Minigame and skilling contest. So, I would schedule a stealing creation event, then starwolf would schedule his (insert hawt skill here)-ing contest.
2nd week: pvp trip and another minigame. So, tomilson would schedule a fog event and someone would schedule the pvp trip.
3rd week: skilling event and monster trip.
etc...
So we would never have more than two events of the same kind per month and we would never have the same coordinator organizing an event more than once per month.
What would you say?

PS.: We also could have a skilling month, then combat month, alternating with each other. So all the event during that month would be directed to the current month's focus. Though I may be rushing myself in... wub.gif

PP(and final, I promise...)S: Also, with so many event coordinators, do you think we still need a Members Event forum? I think we pretty much got every kind of event covered. tongue.gif
Oh, and before I forget, we also need a section for other events, like holidays and races.

No offense to other events, I feel like the contests are a great way for the clan to participate as a whole. I think we should have contests every week or every other week (Right now I'm experimenting with frequency and turnout %), so that other events can be scheduled in place of the skilling contest.

In other words, I think the Contests should just be excluded from the schedule system you have suggested Arthur and be on their own turf. We still need the other EC's to sign up for what they would like to help participate in making..

So it would be something like this:
You set a skilling contest for two weeks. Let's say.... mining...
Then eventually, at some point during the contest, one schedules a minigame?

Well, I'm gonna make a new forum for you all and you can go about it in whatever way you would like, but I'd personally not advise such a rigid system because people will quickly grow tired of scheduling the same events. Perhaps a rotation system, where you rotate between all the different categories?

Lamb, one wouldn't be hosting the same kind of event always... I could host a sc event, then a fog event, then a castlew event, and finally a trouble brewing event and I wouldn't be bored yet... happy.gif

Also, I'd be happy to help you with our contests, star. Though I would never schedule a pvp trip/monster trip.... Those you could count me off of rolleyes.gif

im really into barbarian assault and castle wars, on account of using tactics to win. i havent played stealing creation yet but i hear its really fun as well. i was planning on incorporating these into a rotation or whatever we will come up with.

but, im not going to jump up right away and start spamming event topics, im going to have to figure out best times/dates to post events. can you guys help me out with those?
