|Ancient Legion > News > Applications for Event Coordinators|
|Posted by: King Arthur Oct 1 2009, 07:14 PM|
| > As you can see, we have a few spots open, and a clan cannot run lacking staff, so...
> Anyone is free to apply for event coordinator by answering the following:
Time in clan:
What kind of events would you schedule that we don't do much of now?
Can you commit to scheduling at least one event per week?
What distinguishes you from the other candidates? Why should we pick you? Please be specific.
Do you comply with the monthly activity check?
What spot do you aim for (temporary or permanent)
> Please note that senior members will also be chosen, and applying for becoming EC does not prevents you from being chosen senior. If you apply for EC and gets picked to be a senior, you will be promoted to senior, and another applicant will fill the spot.
> Please note that we have one permanent spot and one temporary spot to be filled, so you must state which one you'd like to fill.

| Time in Clan: 4 months now.
What kind of events would you schedule that we don't have much of now?
I would do lots of f2p events, and maybe some low lv events, like fire giant hunts .
Can you commit to scheduling atleast 1 event a week?
Yes i can, i am in grade 8 of school, and weekends are almost completely free for me.
What distinguishes you from the other canidates? why should we pick you? be specific.
I can commit to scheduleing a lot of events. I also can schedule high - low leveled events as my level is right in the middle. I have also wanted this position for a long time, and i feel i will fit the requirements good.
Do you comply with the monthly activity check?
Unless i have posted a vacation topic, yes i do.
What spot do you aim for?
Permanent would be good, but either would be awesome!

|Whats the monthly activity check?|
|Posted by: Lit Oct 1 2009, 07:59 PM|
| Fake apps are not fun anymore, just quit it. Having at least one on every topic is not a good signal at all.
Monthly Activity Check: If you don't post/enter the forums (can't remember) on a month, you are set as "inactive". You are sent an email and if you do not log back in on 30 days, you are set to Retired and someone else fills your current Staff position if you had one. You cannot claim your staff position after a replacement is found by the way.

| Time to take a crack at staffing again
Time In Clan: One year as of October 7th
Events That We Don't Do Much Of: I could definitely schedule in more of the F2P events that we don't do; More FOG events, maybe another organized duel tournament; I also want to put Faruq's tools to work as well!
Can you commit to creating an event a week: I believe I can. Despite my restricted time due to school, I can definitely get an event in and host as well.
Comply With Monthly Check? Absolutely. I believe we have many trial and even full members that join up and then seem to be in-active. Therefore, I believe that a month check is fair.
Spot aiming for? Well I don't plan on quitting, so obviously permanent. However, I am more sided on becoming a Senior Member over an Event Coordinator, but both are great!
I had also written out a brief resume for Senior Member before this thread was created, so I will post it here:
Redeyes2496 (for senior member)
Playing Runescape Since: Early 2004
Been Apart of Ancient Legion Since: October 2008
What I can bring to the table: I can bring a mature attitude to the leadership team. Unlike some past leaders, I do not get angry or frustrated easily. I can keep my cool, and I can keep members under control.
Why you should choose me: My main points are that I have experience and I have a mature manner. I have been in Ancient Legion for almost a year now, and I know that things have happened. Despite all of the changes that have occurred I refuse to leave Ancient Legion because it is and will be a great community. I don't let this silly drama that occurs get to me. I have had leadership experience before in being an Event Coordinator in Ancient Legion, and I have led clans in the past, one of which was with Lordblack before joining Ancient Legion. I believe I can moderate the forums and members properly, maturely, and efficiently in order to run a great community. Ancient Legion is already a great community for people, but I believe I can improve it.
Please consider me as a Senior Member, and I will accept whatever you choose to do. If you need any more information or have any questions, please PM me and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks for reading this all the way through.
Good luck to everyone who applies

|why would you write as much as redeyes did?|
|Posted by: Dylan Oct 2 2009, 03:07 AM|
|so you can have a better chance of getting the spot.|
|Posted by: Lit Oct 2 2009, 01:23 PM|
So you say not writing anything is the same as writing a correct application? I'd rather choose a SM that can write something than a person that can't spell.

|add me to the support list redeyes ur gonna be awesome (even though im gonna be trying to get senior too... )|

|why do ec spots when senior's more important?|
|Posted by: King Arthur Oct 2 2009, 06:02 PM|
| > First, all are important. Both EC and Senior, but since we can't make people be active enough to be EC's, we gotta ask them if they want to be one, otherwise... We get an inactive EC, scheduling no events.
> Second, you don't apply for senior member. You get picked.
