The Odd Old Man is again in need of a hand, but this time it’s not all going to be about bones. Apparently, he has new needs that will require adventurers to seek the hides, pelts and skins of creatures commonly found in the Fremennik Province.

Players will be able to allow the Odd Old Man to take his plan fur-ther. More experienced players will then be able to help him the rest of the way, getting extra rewards and uncovering the truth behind one of RuneScape’s most guarded secrets – just what is in that mumbling bonesack?

Speak to the Odd Old Man near his shack between Varrock and Paterdomus.

In other news...

For those of you who might have missed it last week, we reintroduced some features to the Grand Exchange section of the website, including a 30-day average line to the graphs.

Berserker ring can now be imbued by Mobilising Armies officers, just like the other Fremennik rings

Pretty easy quest, the follow-up miniquest... Not so much :s

For those of you who have completed "Rag and Bone Man" mini-quest after the normal quest... Its very similar to that, just the monsters have been upped in difficulty. These 21 monsters you have to slay range from 9 different types of dragons, Bork or General Graador (Yes, bandos), Aquanites and even Sabre-toothed Kyatts! tongue.gif

I did the quest and the follow-up... Did Bork 2 times and didn't get the bone I needed so I had to resort to soloing Bandos. Went well, until he respawned while I was killing a minion. Died, losing 3-4m worth of stuff including D boots and Karil's top. My friend helped me duo non-ls Bandos, and I got the bone I needed afterwards.

Reward of quest and follow-up are below, SPOILER WARNING:

Question, as the exp wasnt all that awesome, does the bone sack you have in inventory do anything special? unsure.gif

Just asking because it seems like alot of work. Also, couldnt you just buy the bones in ge?

The Skeletal Horror boss battle is a weekly event and you get the same experience as you would in the 2nd reward. The bonesack(e) when you operate it, it will teleport you to the boss battle 1 time a week

As for the bones, they are special bones that you can only get as a monster drop after you start the miniquest. For example, have you ever had a "Femur Bone" drop from General Graador? Or "Green dragon tail-bone" drop from a Green Dragon?
They're a non-tradable bone, so you have to kill the monsters. You don't even usually get it on your first drop, I had to kill 5 Mithril Dragons before I got the "Mithril Dragon Tail-bone" drop
