QUOTE (Forum Rules)

Community : This is the largest portion of our forums and for good reason. No matter what you want to post, you can find the right section that would be suitable for it here. Most of our members have a blog of their Runescape goals in the Acheivments section. GFX is for anything graphic related.

The Door : This is where we say "Hello," and "Goodbye" to all of our members. The Introductions section is for our newer members to post a little intro about themself for the clan to let everyone to get to know them better. The Vacation section is for those that are going to be *inactive* for a time and won't be active, post here if you won't be in Runescape for a while, but will return. The Leaving section is for those who will be leaving AL.

* - This is this week's proof of read word.

> How about that?

Posted by: animal magik May 22 2009, 10:55 PM
Then people would just search for *'s. o.o
It's a good idea but I don't think it would work.

Id say make it more like they have to explain something from the topic tongue.gif

That would be too easy to find (but if you dont know, how could you know theres a * in the end ohmy.gif )

Hope you understood me lol

>Have you read the Forum Guidelines? Can you provide the highlighted 'proof of read' word?

> Notice that it doesn't say "Provide the word marked with '*'".
> And the word would change every 7 days (I could do that).

Posted by: animal magik May 23 2009, 04:32 PM
Mm but still, they could just scroll down it till they see it. And if you don't have it marked then how will they know it's the word?
Sorry, I'm not against the idea or anything, I just don't think it would work. Worth a shot though, I guess.

Posted by: animal magik May 23 2009, 08:05 PM
Why don't we just tell them to summarise it?

Posted by: Sick Mate 9 May 26 2009, 04:37 AM
or just have somewhere in the text
Proof of Read word: and then just put the word here, then keep going with the text

Posted by: animal magik May 26 2009, 06:20 AM
Again, as said above, they could just search for that/control+f that.

Posted by: Kerkennah May 26 2009, 05:41 PM
:S I thought I posted here, maybe my internet lagged.

I like this idea, 100% support, I have seen many clans doing this and its very efficient. I think we should make a code for it when they copy it or something.

Posted by: 101laxkid2 May 26 2009, 06:18 PM
It could be a complicated string of numbers, and they could be spread throughout the thing.

Although someone could just look at an application made that week and copy that person's lol

> Unfortunately we can't have a "Enter Confirmation Code" on the application sad.gif That would rock.

Posted by: Kerkennah May 27 2009, 04:19 PM
I think we should go ahead with the idea you have right now, I think it will work wonderfully smile.gif The * is kinda of small so they will have to read the whole thing to find the right word smile.gif

Posted by: animal magik May 27 2009, 06:24 PM
Not if they used control+f.

Posted by: Kerkennah May 27 2009, 07:39 PM
Well they wouldn't know they are looking for it, only after they read the whole page, because at the bottom it would say you have to look for *.

Unless they just skip to the bottom sad.gif

Can you disable Control F on the page arthur? I know some websites won't let you use control C or copy

If you can disable control+f just on that page, then it should work, and we can try it out. =D
