Title: fastest money skill?

thechicken95 - August 16, 2008 10:11 AM (GMT)
Hey, just wondering which skill makes the fastest money. I decided to base this poll on the assumption that all skills are at lvl 70 to make it fair and to avoid confusion. Plz all vote. 1 choice per person. :)

btw, my current choice is fishing

I think mining if your talking f2p. Lobbies take along time to bank and fish while at lvl 70 mining you can mine a full load of coal bank in under 5 minutes if the mining guild wasn't busy.

rofl, all three are tied. I say mining, It gives good XP and Coal gives lots of cash. With the old wildy removed, if you are 85+ mining, you can mine runite ore and sell it for 12k!

W000T!

Woodcutting for sure.

Yea, woodcutting is good money-maker and it levels fast (My bro got 40 woodcutting in 3-4 days)

Let me do a little bit more in depth story:

Mining: At a low level this can seem to be a good money maker, but in the long run (Unless you plan on getting 85.+ mining) It's actually not. And in F2P it takes quite a while to get 60 mining. P2P mining granite is ok cash.
Fishing: From 1-45 you make very little cash. From 45-76 you could fish lobs and I figured out make roughly 2.5-2.7M. Once you hit 76 and start fishing sharks, it can become a profitable skill. The bad thing is the real profit doesn't start till 76 fishing.
Woodcutting: From level 1-60 I figure you could make 600-700k. At about 65 woodcutting the real profit starts coming in and you've found out one of the best ways for F2P to make cash.

quite a few remarks here...

F2P
mining: low lvl mining can get you nice cash starting from when you can mine iron... not many people use this, but mining gold is also very profitable, so get 40 crafting, a load of law runes and mine gold in crafting guild... very easy, and swift cash... of course coal in a unbusy mining guild is the best.
Fishing: never liked this in f2p for moneymaking ... not a good way in F2p if you ask me...
Woodcutting: now you'd say: 'yes 60 wc, i go cut yews now'... WRONG... stick to willows for atleast...5 - 10 more lvls... yews will go way faster then, and you'll get there faster with willows than with yews

well mining and wc all start to become profitable around 60 cause

for wc u can cut yew

for mining u can mine coal at the guild

and fishing good if you can start to get lobbies faster
