Title: About my leveling system

Lit - July 28, 2009 02:44 AM (GMT)
EDIT: Moved this to Warlord forum so Kevin can see it too.

First of all I never had in mind a system that involved "awards", it was meant to be mandatory for everyone, and those who didn't follow it would receive the respective punishment. Also my system got a bit "altered" from my original idea, so I will post it again:

This system works basically with our average F2P combat level (91). Everyone below that level must train. Those people would get mentors for company, advice, and whatnot. Everyone above the average combat level will train at their own will (will train, though).

The point is not to monitor anyone's leveling, but to create a friendly environment where you can both train and have fun, make friends, etc.

About the mentors: I know this was discussed a while ago, and never came to anything. But I believe it will work perfectly, I would would volunteer myself to help as many others for sure.

As you may know, the actual "I level, I get CAPs" system is not working well, for two reasons:

  • The CAP edit feature sometimes brokes, at least for myself. As of now I still can't edit CAPs.
  • A monitor of everyone's leveling is needed, and I don't currently have the time/experience to do so. Also I doubt it's a very practical way.

Please post your thoughts on this new (the real one, actually) Leveling System.

CAPs were more of an incentive to get people training. It wasn't a bad idea, but people got so hyped up over it their focus became more of the CAPs and not training for the real reasons, such as to help us improve our warring.

I don't think we've had any "mentoring" at all so far since the leveling system has been instilled into the clan. We might want an official list for it, maybe just randomly assign people to mentors, or ask those who need a lot of leveling who they want their mentors to be.

If the CAPs aren't working, we may need to find another incentive to keep people leveling though, but I can't think of one at the moment.

You didn't send me anything. >.<

And I was able to edit CAPs this morning, so I awarded the ones I was missing.
