Title: CAPs System Discussion Thread
Description: Love it, Hate it, discuss it here.

Lit - July 18, 2009 01:59 AM (GMT)
For the topic about the CAPs System, check this link.

We all have heard about it. Some like the system, some not as much. This topic is for you to let us know your thoughts on this system, to make suggestions, what could the CAPs be used for, and almost anything else.

NOTE: This is not a Contest. The CAPs are to differ the most active, dedicated, etc. from the not so active/dedicated or whatever. Although achieving CAP Milestones may get you a reward in a near future, it still doesn't. CAPs are only to show off for now. But who knows, maybe you could get a nice Pixel Signature in exchange of some Clan Award Points...

Now, discuss.

as for rewards you guys should do whats fit. i think its a good way to keep track of activeness and dedication to the clan. i say it should stay.

tubu1982 - July 18, 2009 02:35 AM (GMT)
i love it... its a good way to show who is active, and who is not which is a great thing for council + leaders to see. It is a good way to show off your dedication too the clan, and if you could get lits pixel sigs from it  anyway this is a great step forward to making all members of the clan active now. I love how it ties in with the combat thing also :D this will help make events loads more fun because this hopefully will make more people active, therefore more people go to events, leading to more fun events

overall a 10/10 update for the clan

> Lit forgot to mention that we might have something on the works for the members to use their CAPs. I can't give a release date, nor what's going to be. But rest assured we'll have some stuff to do with all the CAPs you earn.

> In other news: Be prepared, as next week we'll come with a surprise to you!!! :sunglasses:
> You might not even know, or you might even know already what it is. Just hang tight and you'll see what it is :)

Redeyes2496 - July 18, 2009 03:39 AM (GMT)
I like the CAP system; It's very subtle yet it shows a different side to members. It makes me want to work harder and be more active to get more CAP's, and I'm sure many, many other members feel the same way. I also like the idea that you can possibly get a reward for having enough CAP's. It's definitely a great improvement for the clan. If I had to add anything, I'd like to see a drop-down option to see who has the most CAP's and things like that in the Memberlist. If that's possible to do, that would be cool, but overall, great job :sunglasses:

i think its a waste of time.

Tomas_Speed - July 18, 2009 09:14 AM (GMT)
Very usefull in my opinion. It will make people want to level alot more, which will make alot stronger.
Its great and it should be taken seriously :)

Can you elaborate why? Saying its worthless without a reason doesnt look too good.

Please explain?

Dylan - July 18, 2009 09:39 AM (GMT)
i just dont see much point with it, its not as if the leaders dont already recognise good members.

Tomas_Speed - July 18, 2009 09:53 AM (GMT)
The point of the level training for caps is making not so combat active players train harder each week so the clan gets stronger. Also the caps gained from other methods also contribute for a better management of the clan being it attending to wars or being active on the forum. Caps are indeed a way of recognising active and loyal members but as arthur stated, and i quote... " CAPs are not a rank measurement. A member with more CAPs than other are the same rank, thus are both respected equally." caps just mean you have done something to earn them but aside from that it doesnt mean much.

They may have no point for you at the moment, but as we said we plan to implement something for you to use your CAPs on in the near future.

King Arthur - July 18, 2009 05:59 PM (GMT)
> Dylan, we understand you may not like the CAP system.
> I'm not disagreeing with you but you seem to have misunderstood our motive:
> The CAPs are not for the Leaders and Council keep track of who has been doing good or bad on the clan. We have other methods of doing that. The CAP system is used to other members see how much effort you've been putting on the clan, and eventually we might do something more concrete with them. If the CAP system were for us to keep track of good/bad members, it wouldn't be avaiable to any member/validating/guest to see how many CAPs each member has.

gravedigg158 - July 18, 2009 09:18 PM (GMT)
if its supposed to make us better why get rid of it?

yea thats the thing i got it from saw it a couple years ago... pretty cool...
anyways back to CAPs talking about it in another topic but should ALL events be CAP rewarded?

King Arthur - July 19, 2009 06:02 PM (GMT)
> No. We don't need incentive for events, as these are liked by the general mass, and don't increase our rankings on the clan community.
> However, multi-clan events and wars do, hence they must be incentivated, hence the CAPs awards.

Kerkennah - July 23, 2009 02:13 AM (GMT)
Has the xp begun to become tracked? It seems like it will be a very tedious process.

coolmageİ - July 23, 2009 01:22 PM (GMT)
Hmm, I think it is a good idea. I kind of agree with Dylan though because the leaders do know who is active and who isn't but rewards and prizes are good. Also, I don't think that you should exchange CAPs for prizes because then a member will cash them in all the time and won't reach the milestone, I'd rather see a total of CAPs then just how many they recently have. I like it though, it's a good idea.

-Mage of coolness :king:

P.S. Where's mine :(
