Title: An idea to improve our levels
Lit - July 15, 2009 11:42 PM (GMT)
This is mainly what LTH does, credits to them for this. The idea involves our average F2P combat level (same as P2P but without Summoning), which is as of now 89. If you're below that level, you get a mentor to monitor your training daily/weekly. If you're over 89, you don't get a mentor; though that doesn't mean you can go lazy and don't train. You still need to get your level each 2 weeks or whatever.
Basically the levels per week would work like this:
<80 Combat -> 1 Level/Week
80-90 -> 1 Level/Week and a half
90-100 -> 1 Level/2 Weeks
>100 -> 1 Level/2 Weeks and a half
Obviously all these values are the minimum you should get if you play 2 hours a day (which almost everyone does). Feel free, no, feel encouraged to increase your levels/week. :yes:
I see this working pretty well, post your thought/comments.

Lol this is a good idea...but it would be hypocritical for me to advocate it, given that I'm under the combat average and I play nowhere close to 2h a day. :sleep:

You wont get a mentor don't worry. And this is your clan so we can't really force you to level. :P I forgot to add, all these values are F2P. For the members out there, you get 1 level in half of the time you get it in F2P. For example, you're 87 Combat. You should be getting 1 combat level each 1 and a half weeks. In members, you should get at least1 level each 10-11 days.

Great idea Lit! I just like the mentoring system in anyway that it is applied, I think it offers a chance to develop a friendship with your clan peers and is encouraging.

Awesome idea, I love it :D Except, I hope I don't get a mentor, and leveling comes very slow for me lol.

You, like Golden, are pretty much exceptions. This is mainly for the Trial Members and the new Full Members. It'd help make a "clean-up" to see who is dedicated and who isn't. Could help in promotion to Full Member as well.

I like the idea Lit,
I think this will help us level our combat quicker and to see how others do things is a wealth of knowledge. :party:
My only concern is what happens if someone is not leveling to our satisfaction? Do we start to warn people or threaten to kick them out? Poor Lamb...I like him. :blink: This is where Damon and I started having problems. [BEEP]
If i can help in anyway with your idea, let me know.
Kevinsaurus - July 16, 2009 01:21 AM (GMT)
it's a good idea, but as people get to much higher levels and don't have as muhc time, it'll be hard to grab a combat level in that amount of time so u might wanna break it down into combat levels as well as the skill levels

I might be able to mentor p2p players, although if I had a tough slayer task maybe not. =/
I don't think we should make it mandatory though because sometimes people just don't want to train cb, and that'll be me pretty soon, going on a skilling spree. But when I my f2p cb will be something like 112-114 so hopefully that'll be alright.
So yeah I don't think it should be mandatory (and I know no one's said it will be so far) but if someone's falling behind and have a low cb level that hasn't been raised in a while and isn't raising it, they should have a bit of a nudge. If you understand that, good, because I know a lot of people won't cause I almost don't. ^^

Probalby wont be gaining lots of combat levels but i will try to level prayer and hitpoints so i can level.
