Title: Kickabout Guide
Gameguy535 - July 5, 2009 09:46 PM (GMT)
Here's a guide of how to play and the details of Kickabout.
OK if you don't know how to play you can do the tutorial or read this.
You use the letters "W,A,S, and D" to move, W to go up, A to go left, S to go down, and D to go right, or you can use the arrows to move.
Space bar and Ctrl is to sprint when you have enough energy.
Left mouse button it to shoot, if you have the ball, hold it down till the arrow is at it's longest to get the hardest shot. If you don't have the ball the left mouse button is to slide tackle, also they are no fouls, yellow cards, or red cards.
There are no outs either so you can bounce the ball off of the out lines like a wall.
Right mouse button is for a high pass, hold it down until the arrow is at his longest so you can pass it farther, and if you don't have the ball the right mouse button is for switching players, and those are the basics of playing Kickabout.
Some other features in Kickabout is that they have league points, at the end of each game you can get them or lose them depending on what kind of match you playing rated or unrated. In rated if u win u get 30 league points but if you lose you lose 10 league points. On the other hand in unrated you only gain 3 league points if you win, but can't lose any league points. If you repeat rated games (playing the opponent recently) you will receive the unrated rewards.
Here are the leagues Pebble Playoffs, Cobalt Conference, Sandstone Series, Quartz Qualifiers, Crystal Circuit and the Diamond Division.
You need 10 league points to get to the Pebble Playoffs, 180 league points for Cobalt Conference, 560 league points for Sandstone Series, 1,700 league points for Quartz Qualifiers, 7,000 league points for Crystal Circuit, and 14,000 for Diamond Division the highest league you can get in.
In the Diamond Division it's slightly different, all your league points vanish and are replaced with Diamond League Points. Now you compete weekly to get the highest scores, the player with the highest score after each week will receive the Diamond Trophy and the "We are the Champions" achievement. Diamond League points are reset every week at 10pm GMT on Tuesdays.
Money - It's given both to the winner and loser, people in higher leagues earn more money per game.
Experience - Given to all players used in the game, the higher the level the player is the slower he gains exp.
League Points - Help you go to the next league.
Playing 4 minutes gives 50% less rewards, playing 12 minutes gives you 50% more rewards, and playing 8 minutes gives you the normal reward.
Tank - He is a really good defender, but he moves slowly, he has a wide-ranging slide tackle.
Ranger - He is small and fast and other players have trouble keeping up with him but he lacks power.
Elite - He doesn't favor any stat so that makes him a all round good player.
Hotshot - He is the star, he can score a lot of goals with his power and it impresses everyone it seems.
POW:Power - This affects how fast the shot is charged and how hard the shot is, Hotshots have the best power.
SPD:Speed - This affects how fast they can run and how often they can use their sprint, Rangers have the best speed.
TCK:Tackle - This affects how fast and how far they can tackle, Tanks have the best Tackle.
EXP:Experience - When this reaches 100% you can boost 1 stat (POW,SPD,TCK) by 1%.
Auctions are where other Funorb players can bid on your players or you can bid or you can buy the players if there is a buyout.
Here are the auction settings.
Starting Price - This is the minimum bid you can adjust if but there are limits.
Buyout - If you wanna have a buyout price people can just buy the play, this may help the speed of selling your player.
Duration - This is the setting where you set how long people can bid for your player.
To outbid someone you must offer 10% more than the original offer, the price is automatically set by the auction house. Once you bid you can't get a refund. The auction house takes 10% on all auctions sold.
Kits are basically your uniform. You can unlock kits or use orb coins to buy them. If you wanna change you kit go to Management on the main menu, then go to my kit, and I think you can take it from there.
A pitch in other word is your home field. If you home you will play on the pitch selected. To start off you only have one pitch and that's the field, you can but more pitch using money, to be able to buy the 2 other lines you will have to use your orb coins and then unlock them by buying them. If you want to change your pitch go to management at the main menu, then go to my pitch and the rest is pretty simple.
The player shop is a offline shop where you can also buy players without having to bid with other people.
If your a member and you want to give your player a boost, trinkets is for you. Each player has at least 1 slot. The trinkets must match the shape of the slot. The diamond slot gives access to the most powerful trinkets, only Elites have this slot. Once players have trinkets attached to them they cannot be removed but can be replaced.
Viewing League Points
Go to Records on the main menu and then View League, that should tell you your league points and what league you're in. You can also search for other players here and find out their league points.
