Title: Leaving w/ Damon

damon - June 15, 2009 01:39 PM (GMT)
I been thinking all night on whether to stay in al or make my own clan... I guess its apparent now what im doing since im posting here...

While i was in al, i had lots of fun, mostly when i first joined. Lately, its been alot of disagreeing between me and the leaders. Truth is, Al seems to make like we are declining when in fact we should be getting better. People are getting or already out of school, people have more time to play, people should be joining, yet none of these seems to happen. Instead we are losing our members to other clans. We went from pulling 20 members easy in wars to under 15 on average, and our average combat level to these wars have also been on the decline. To me, the hardest thing as a warlord, is when you want your clan to be among the best, but they dont take warring as serious as you did. To me, ancient legion is more skilling then warring. I feel that myself, want a clan based more on warring, which specializes more on warring. A clan where i dont have to have a training session everyday just to teach people that dont show up to wars, how to tank bind and snipe.

I tried not to make this too long so ill wrap it up. Im not quitting on you guys, its just that this clan has different goals then I.

Golden arm42 - June 15, 2009 01:46 PM (GMT)
Good luck Damon. :( We've already discussed this so I don't have much more to add.

Imso Hot - June 15, 2009 01:59 PM (GMT)
Good luck with the new clan, who knows if i join one day

Al is great community of people which is cool, if i want to war i can just join a pk clan (like i probably will)

Cya Damon

emad - June 15, 2009 02:38 PM (GMT)
Hey guys well i've decided it's time for me to move on. I've noticed that al is taking a turn for the worse and it's like the leaders aren't really doing anything to stop that. I also want to try something new wich isn't going to happen here. Al has been a very good experience and I even got a few hilts along the way!

Bye Damon.

Hey, in that Zammy trip, Runeter was using my Godsword :P

Redeyes2496 - June 15, 2009 04:18 PM (GMT)
I'm not surprised by this; It had to happen sooner or later. You were a very good leader Damon. Although lately I haven't totally agreed with your attitude on certain things, you were still a good Warlord and tried very hard to get us excited about warring. Sad to see a Real veteran leave, but times and people change. Good luck in your next clan.

Redeyes2496 - June 15, 2009 04:21 PM (GMT)
Pretty much the same thing I said for Damon; Not a surprise. Good luck in the future with whatever you do.

Lord - June 15, 2009 04:43 PM (GMT)

But what if someone quits and they won't join damon :o

Megaman0exe - June 15, 2009 09:03 PM (GMT)
Sorry Guys, I'm going to have to leave too :(

I've grown too attached to the clan, I would check on the forums, many times a day to read the latest post, even if its just one :ph43r: I post way too much too, look at my post count.

Also, there have been somethings that I don't like. First of all, I don't feel like the clan is like a family like before, we aren't as close together as we were before. Now there are fights all over the place over meaningless things, whether it be, what gear you have to wear to god wars, to other even smaller things. Now when new members join the clan, they aren't really as welcomed.

There's been a lack or events and wars lately, but I'm not one to complain since I wasn't around too much the past two months. The council is really inactive too, this showed when starwolf left the clan. When he was in the council, lots of things happened, now that he has left, nothing happened. Before starwolf was in the council, it did nothing at all, I never knew it existed.

It seems to me, that no one cares about having fun with the clan anymore. All people want to do is train for themselves. An example is once, in the cc, we said, we are having a war pratice come right now. The person said " but come on, I want to kill these dragons" After about 1 minute, they just randomly logged off. This shows alot, and it wasn't just that individual, many others do it too.

But enough of the negative things.

I loved al for the year I was here, its been such a great experience. The leaders made this happen, and I'm grateful for what they have done. They put lots of time and dedication to the clan to make it successful, and thats alot. They had to take crap from people, like sacred champions, and any other noobs, but they did it and they stayed strong

I hope you guys do great even though I'm leaving, I hope to still post on these forums, not as much though, since I won't be able to see as many topics. If you guys need any help, just tell me, I'll be glad to help. I'll still run the IRC for you guys too ^_^

I'l like to stay good friends with you guys, I hope you don't hate me for what I'm doing. I don't know what I'll do next, it could be joining Damon, or just something else.
I've already applied to join a rune pure clan, I don't know what I will be doing on megaman.

Cheers,
Kerkennah

Quite honestly, Damon's clan is looking like a good option. Damon really knows what he is doing and will try to do the best he can, unlike a whole bunch of this clan, IMO. If we can't turn things around in AL, thats where i will end up, probably.

Cya Damon, for now.

Icewolf68 - June 16, 2009 01:30 AM (GMT)
I guess I'm going to leave as well. Kerk is the real reason I joined AL, and I've gotten to meet many awesome people as well through AL, like Damon, Star, Animal, Imso, Weeeyin, etc. But I don't see a point in staying if my tightest friends aren't part of it.

C yall, good luck AL!

thegame910 - June 16, 2009 02:28 AM (GMT)
Sorry to add another to the list....but i will also be leaving =(

AL was my first clan, so it will always be special to me, but almost all my friends have now left the clan, and there would be no point for me to remain here any longer. I think i really need to start focusing on my individual character rather than the clan, and especially my combat.

in terms of the way this clan was run, it was good for the most part, the only thing that i think you guys might want to take a look at while restructuring (because you will have to now with 3 warlords and 1 or 2 EC gone) is sharing power with the HC, and not just the leaders....it feels like too much of the power in this clan rested with the leaders, whos skill level and rs levels were both far below many other more capable members in the clan. Golden and Lamb, you guys are good leaders especially for the amount of experience you have, keep improving yourselves

Its been fun

3rd leaving post in a row ftl?

Like The Game, AL was my first clan, and that means a lot to me. It gave me a taste of what clanning is. Now that i have a good understanding of it, i think its time to move on, to a more serious clan. I think Damon can do that, really. He was a great warlord and really knew what he was doing. Something id like to fix here is just the amount there is to do. There is little, to nothing at times. Id like a fun, active-warring clan, which, truthfully, for the past few weeks AL wasn't.

Ill stay in contact with everyone on my friends list occasionally, and stop in the cc, too. Maybe make a few new posts on the forums, in my spare time. Overall though, its just time for me to move on. Id like to see what other clans have to offer, and i think Damon's is a great start.

Goodbye AL =/
hello, Damon, again x D

No point if you've made up your mind.

When things aren't right, we need to work all together to fix them up. You said AL wasn't a "very serious" clan. We're completely serious and put a lot of dedication to the clan, unlike you, who leave when things aren't going right.

This clan is serious, but you take it unseriously. Don't say it otherwise.

Now that I look at the people who left and think of this more deeply... Instead of halving the clan, couldn't you just have said things weren't working well in your opinion so we could have tried to fix them and possibly avoid this? Really, you made us look like we don't do anything when we have a very unfrequented forum called "Council of Members" where you can discuss things and so avoid these things.

no lit.. i clearly stated al is not my type of clan... i wanted us to b a really good warring clan, among the best.... but thats not the goal of this clan.. this clan is to be a both skilling and warring clan... and i put skilling first because thats what the clan puts first... so its not leaving when it gets hard.. its leaving because this is truly not the right clan for me.

Plus u cannot say that i didnt do things to try to fix and improve our warring to bigger and better... but i was rejected.. i proposed a warring team... it was rejected... i proposed higher reqs (higher then 75)... it was rejected...i have tried to get us to fight really good clan... that too was rejected... if its not rejected, its not followed through on, not exactly because people dont care.. but because thats not their main objective for al.. it is mine.. so i cant have a goal for a clan that will never happen. not saying al isnt good enough.. its just now what al wanted.

Assuming this was directed at me (wasn't quite sure)....

Tbh, i don't think this clan to be to serious. I actually agree with 90% of what Damon said. A clan can't be serious when we have 10 members at a war. A clan can't be serious when you have 2 events/week, and im pretty sure you can agree with me on that. Its only going to get a ton lower with the recent events happening.

I take the clan unseriously? You have to be kidding. For the most part, ive put the clan first when i could. I tried my best, and loved the clan. It not when things go wrong i leave so much. The have been wrong for a while IMO, they have just gotten a lot worse lately. I sound really negative, TBH, but there were plenty of good things in the clan. It really fed me up that there was nothing to do, though. I loved the people here, i have yet to meet someone bad or mean here. The leaders were great, and extremely helpful. Its was a good clan in other aspects, too. I also would just like to plain experience other clans, also.

Instead of leaving, i could have just said they weren't working in my opinion? I said that. A lot. Sometimes id say in in a lulzy way, but others i would talk to people about it. The leaders/warlords cant deny that, either. I tried to do everything in my power to fix things, but there isn't much you can do at a lower rank.

I made you look like you don't do anything? Well, some people do. Specifically the active staff and leaders, but a lot of people didn't do anything. TBH, someone who recently join is too lazy to even make the 20 posts, for example.

Look, I liked this clan a lot while it lasted. This is my opinion. Im entitled to it, and you shouldn't question it =/
