Title: PC
Description: sorta fail

dflame58 - April 22, 2009 12:59 AM (GMT)
Type of event: Pest Control minigame
Date: April 21
Time it started (in GMT): 10pm
Duration of event: 1 hour
Who came to the event (name members):
Infam
Jss268
Mudball99
Robb
sword
Weeyin
Lambeh
Anything else: kinda fail. imo. partly b/c of me and the attenders.
Pics (if any): wat!!!? too unorganized to do a pic :P

My views on the event.

Pest control is difficult b/c ppl want to do this or that boat and no all the same one. Then you have to get to a correct world.

Negatives
- I had the time wrong. I apologize to the GMTers. I have been wrong on multiple events now and I now know taht EST is -5 GMT. I thought it was -4 b/c of something, dont ask:P
-I changed worlds a few times making a little unorganized
- people need to show up on time. I know that I post these events shortly before they occur but i also know that most of the ppl had heard of it happening. I also get on early and periodically say that event is in xx minutes.
- people complaining about wanting to do intermed boat.
- more ppl could have gone. I know that only half or less actually came that were in teh channel. ( i understand there were some f2pers, but I know for a fact that there were some p2pers)

Positives
- we got to pc. had some fun. collected points.
- more attendance actually.
- learned a bit in organizing a PC event. i would say pc is one of the rougher events to orgainze. its hard to get all in same boat.

> About not showing on time, it was indeed because of the GMT/EST time confusion. That's why Lamb and I have set GMT 0 as the clan's official time (you can check the clock on the header). I suggest that from now on, all events should be scheduled on a OCT (Official Clan Time) basis.

thats part of the problem. People need to show up early. that way we can actually play for an hour.

things run more smoothly when people are ready to go.

> It'll be wrong if your computer's clock is wrong. That one is just a simple clock that says the GMT time based on your computer's location configurations. To check the OCT on a indenpendent server, go to the Time Zone Converter on the Events forum. There you can use the clocks to set up your computer's clock correctly and you'll have the OCT shown correctly on the header.

My computer clock isn't wrong.. it says gmt - 5 the thing you put doesn't do daylight savings time.

Yeah, sorry, I really wanted to go but totally had a Physics Lab to go to (curses college). I'm done with class by May 8th, so I'll be more active soon. :)
