Last night my friends and I went on a "ghost hunt". We drove like 20 miles out of the city to some creepy [BEEP] little town at 11 o'clock at night. And keep in mind that I was so skeptical about this stuff.
Anyway, the first place we went was this old bridge that this new mother jumped off of with her baby in her arms. So the story is that If you park on the bridge, turn your car and all the lights off, and honk three times, you can supposedly see her ghost in the river and hear her scream. So we parked and everything, got out of the car, and honked three times, but we didn't see anything. But as I got back in the car and we were pulling away, I saw something zip in front of the car like a hundred feet in front of us. But it wasn't like an animal or anything. I'm not even sure what it was. I didn't even consider this being something paranormal until we went to the next place I'm about to tell you about.
We decided to go to this old abandoned house where a man killed his wife and raped his young daughter about 20 years ago. Like, there are police records and everything. But as we were driving to this house, like, out of nowhere, this fog appeared. Out of nowhere we drove into this thick fog. Which may have been a coincidence, but it most definitely set a creepy atmosphere.
But anyway, we park and all get out and walk up to this house. The front door is open and I can see this strange glow coming from somewhere in the house. I dismissed it as moonlight until I realized that The roof of this house was completely intact, and this glow was significantly brighter than the normal moonlight at that time. So I was kinda freaked out a little bit at that time, but what happened next scared the crap out of me.
My friend and I walked right up to this door, and using the light from his cell phone, looked around in the house. We didn't actually step inside, but we stood in the doorway. I backed up a few feet, but he was still standing at the door. As a joke, he knocked on the door and called out "Hello? Is anybody in there?". A few second after he called out, a woman's voice called back. I didn't hear any words, but I very distinctly heard a moan. There were girls with us, but they had all walked back to the car, which was fairly far away, too far for them to moan and it to be audible. But the sound also clearly came from right in front of us. After I heard this a [BEEP]ing chill shot down my spine and I [BEEP]ing turned and bolted toward the car, got in, and we drove away.
Everybody heard it except my friend who knocked on the door and called out. And they were all able to recount the exact noise that happened. And this was not some whisper or whatever. It was very clearly a woman's voice. And from the sound she made, she sounded to be in pain.
My nerves are still a little fried about the whole experience, because I was so skeptical about all of this paranormal [BEEP]. But I can't deny what happened last night or pass it off as my imagination.
I couldn't resist glancing behind me as I read that :P
Sounds odd...and so everyone remembered that voice? Maybe on of the girls was a ventriloquist :P (jk)
holy crap that sounds scary
Yeah I know, I wanna go back sometime in the next few weeks to see if I can hear anything else.
woah, that's pretty freaky, a little hard to believe but idk, sounds like u had a lot of fun
Interesting. While I was in school, there was a PE teacher that used to take some of the "bravest" students to go camping at a ranch he owns. One of the "activities" they do there is story-telling and ghost-hunting.
Though one single night things went a little akward:
They were getting ready to go ghost-hunting. The teacher always told the same story. There were a family that lived on a huge farm, which main house were on where his ranch is now. Of course, there were some murders here and there :P and they family got killed, even their little girl. Obviously, no one believed that story.
Now, the strangest thing happened. While they were out in the woods, only with flashlights and nothing else, my teacher stopped at a clearing to tell the ppl the beforementioned story. Though as he was telling the story, we all heard this weird female in-human scream, I mean, at first we though it was some joke, like, he put a soundsystem somewhere on the woods and set an alarm to play a synthesized scream. But the teacher actually got visibly scared and told us to hurry back to the main house. That scared the [BEEP] out of us!
We went back to the city the day after, two days before the scheduled return.
