Title: hunting/shooting/archery?

red ring 95 - January 25, 2009 02:45 AM (GMT)
anyone else like em?

ive been shooting rifles and shotguns since i was four, and my pride and joy right now is a benelli nova 12 ga 3 1/2 in mag waterfowl gun.

i got two hunting bows a few years ago and was interested for maybe a week. now that my other hunting buddies have picked up bows of their own, ive been shopping around for new rests and sights.

my newest bow:

I've hunted a few times, but not with the standard weapons of hunting. Turkey hunting is my thing. It's pretty big in Texas. :D No pics since I haven't done it since I was about 15 or so.. >_>

40, your pics are kinda funny... Deer in the headlights anyone?

well, this morning it is 2 degrees with -15 wind chill. not much better for gun opener for deer

I took some classes on archery, though it's kinda hard to hunt things in São Paulo (unfortunately, as Matt Groening showed, we don't have monkeys swinging from one lamppost to another... :(). I only train archery at my sports club. Though I don't actually own my bow. I just "rent" a compound bow there. Not quite rent as it was specifically made for me (serisouly... I forgot how to calculate the blades you must have... etc...).

I personally can't shoot with a curve bow. Only with comp bows.

IMO compound bows take all the fun out of archery. They are waay too good.

I never do hunting, but I do have a little recurve bow that I plaster pumpkins leftover from Halloween with in my backyard.
