willows are really good at the barbarian agiltiy course. there are trees right outside that minigame place and u can just use the deposit box. the other great place for willows is at draynor. that would be ur best bet for powerlvling woodcutting if you dont care about the money.

if u want money ur better off cutting yews. catherby, seers, or edgeville are the best places.

animal magik - January 20, 2009 09:24 PM (GMT)
A good spot for yews is either behind the ge (in a french server) or west of catherby or near the altar in seers. A french server is best as there are barely any people, and you will rarely run into someone else cutting yews.
If you're looking for willows, then again west of catherby is good, or instead you should go to draynor.
I don't know what the exp for you would be, but at 84 wc with a d axe I got around 42k exp an hour at yews, and willows are around 50-60k an hour.
There's better exp out there though, powercutting teaks is possibly the best exp in the game. To get to teaks you need 100 trading sticks and to go to the kharazi jungle. Powercutting though means you cut a full invent then drop the logs and start cutting again. So if you do this, you won't get any logs or make any money at all. Mahoganies are also good exp when cut in this way, and so are eucalyptus, but eucalyptus require the As a first resort quest to cut, and there is a bank nearby.
Hope you consider these methods to help you with 99 wc, good luck ;)

Ya willows at barbarian assault are pretty good, also you could woodcut teaks like animal said.

animal magik - January 21, 2009 12:55 AM (GMT)
Yeah, but the downside to that is you can't bank unless you want to slow your exp down heaps and then you'll also need a lot more trading sticks.

maybe u should help him get teh drago naxe first...lol

I myself prefer yews, but that's if I'm in a bind and need money quickly that's guaranteed.

For the woodcutting competition, I used the willow spot just south of Ardougne bank, no one EVER cuts there because it's stil rather unknown. Close to a bank too, but just not as close as Draynor. <_<

gnome village is best place for yews/mage trees but for willows the best place would have to be right next to the barbarian games place or wutever, u can tele there from games necklace =P right next to banks both spots =P
