Title: Warning!

Kerkennah - December 5, 2008 05:17 AM (GMT)
I have seen a few members on the clan site with a sig that tracks how much xp they have gotten each day. I would like to warn you about the website from where you got those. I clicked on the Signiture to go the the website and all of a sudden my Norton pops up and it tells me that it just blocked a trojen from accessing my computer. I advice you guys to not go on that website to not get a virus.

If you have been to the site, I recommend that you scan your computer.

Thanks for the warning, Kerk. Glad I didn't get one :o

Runeter2 - December 5, 2008 12:55 PM (GMT)
Omg, i need to check if its true because i use one! :o

EDIT: False warining everyone, i scanned the site and it was only a bug/glitch on the site, i tested both with avast! and Norton nothing happened to me, maybe on they who use Internet Explorer though, i use Firefox.

coolmageİ - December 5, 2008 02:38 PM (GMT)
That is probably the case, most viruses are written to go through IE since it is the most popular and it could cause the most damage. I strongly suggest everyone get Firefox and if you want to get a stat sig go to a site that is very popular like Zybez, don't go to some site no one has ever heard of.

Well, Norton is known to be a little over reactive to some not-so-harmful objects. If you don't configure it correctly it may think a cookie might try to format your hard drive :P
But precaution is never enough. Every one should scan their PC's once every two months, even if the AV offers resident shield protection.
And also scan on major holidays also. I've a part-time job as pc technician, and most of the virus I remove are titled sth like "X-mas" and "Easter Egg".
