Title: AL Training Competition.

Chuffa - November 4, 2008 10:32 PM (GMT)
Me and Golden were chatting. We think that an annual training ciompetition would be good fun and beneficial to the clan as a whole.

It would work like so.

- The competition would last one week.

- We would note your starting exp in all combat stats

- We would note your ending exp

- The winner would have a new member rank for x amount of time called 'Top Skiller' or something along those lines..

- The winner would win a cash prize.

The prize would depend, all involved could give the winner like 2k, or we somehow give a small amount to the winner.

What do you guys think? I think it would be good.

Golden arm42 - November 4, 2008 10:33 PM (GMT)
I like the idea, but how about a bi-weekly or monthy contest? Annual is a long time...

Monthly or quarterly would be good. It depends on how people feel about training.

We could also swap it. I mean it could be combat based the first time, then skill based the next and rotate it. Whatya think?

puremain - November 4, 2008 11:47 PM (GMT)
yeah thats sounds like a rather good idea tbh. Gives people an excuse to get training, and lets us become stronger.

True Fools - November 5, 2008 01:36 AM (GMT)
win! sweet idea : D

Kerkennah - November 5, 2008 02:03 AM (GMT)
I think its a great idea. A monthly contest would be good, with alternating months, one being combat, one being Skilling.
Also having it every two months.

Hellbound487 - November 5, 2008 02:39 AM (GMT)
very good idea i voted yes.

Chuffa - November 5, 2008 07:30 AM (GMT)
Looking good..

Redeyes2496 - November 5, 2008 06:07 PM (GMT)
Yeah, that would be an awesome idea. It would at least give me something to work for lol.

True Fools - November 5, 2008 11:27 PM (GMT)
It should last for 2 weeks though, then 2 weeks of rest and then another 2 weeks of work : D that's monthly basically, and it will give us ample time to outdo each other lol.

yeah, there's no way I could do constant skilling lol

3monightmar3 - November 6, 2008 06:50 AM (GMT)
i like this idea...i will pwn any1 in a monthly pray comp... :P

squeeki - November 6, 2008 07:32 AM (GMT)
cool. so it would just be one skill that everyone would have to train on?

Kevinsaurus - November 7, 2008 03:17 AM (GMT)
i really like the idea, but only being able to play on weekends means i'd never win >.< sigh...

No.

For combat the general idea is that you can train all combat skills and we work out who gained the most exp.

For the skilling one, i think total exp would work out how well they did.

davidamo93 - November 7, 2008 07:55 PM (GMT)
voted yes

i like the idea altho i can't play daily these days,
ille still try to go for the titel :)

akibone2 - November 9, 2008 10:49 PM (GMT)
Sounds excellent, I need another excuse to get my butt moving on some lacking stats.

Chuffa - November 9, 2008 10:51 PM (GMT)
This is looking promising..

3monightmar3 - November 10, 2008 07:38 AM (GMT)
it does indeed...itd be even more promising if i had a chance of wining :P lol

Robbedeli - November 10, 2008 08:10 AM (GMT)
i'll participate in skilling competitions only :)

but make it so that you can't do some skills cuz if you do cooking, you can get 2m exp a day easily... IMPOSSIBLE for hunter for ecxample..

starwolf_ftw - November 10, 2008 04:16 PM (GMT)
I should really start reading all threads in a forum before posting my own. I basically had the same idea, but Chuffa beat me to it! Feel kinda stupid now.. But yeah, this idea of Chuffa's (our's technically) is total win!

We could do alternate skills. Eg one time could be fast xp skills like, cooking, construction, fletch, firemaking. Then next time slower skills like slayer, hunting, woodcut and mining if u get me..

Robbedeli - November 10, 2008 04:40 PM (GMT)
yeh, i get you :)

do kai5 - November 10, 2008 05:17 PM (GMT)
For the skilling ones, when it is a member skill we should have two going so Freeplay aren't left out.

do kai5 - November 10, 2008 05:26 PM (GMT)
robbedeli, what would you cook to get 2mil xp a day cooking? I am lvl 55 now and freeplay

Chuffa - November 10, 2008 06:27 PM (GMT)
Sharkies..

do kai5 - November 10, 2008 06:33 PM (GMT)
too bad I'm freeplay,

3monightmar3 - November 10, 2008 08:47 PM (GMT)
u could try lobs...they are pretty quick exp at ur lvl :) if u stocked up beforehand u could probably manage a few hundred k exp in a day f2p...

Kevinsaurus - November 10, 2008 09:19 PM (GMT)
way more than a few hundred k... lets see i can get 70k an hour off my narby trouts :P and lobs would mean 120 xp instead of 70 xp i think... in a free day i personally could get over like 600k xp on cooking then... not gonna waste the money though <_<

Kerkennah - November 10, 2008 09:21 PM (GMT)
Ya we could have individual stat competitions but we would sitll have to split it for f2p and p2p, since its easier to get xp in p2p.

starwolf_ftw - November 10, 2008 09:35 PM (GMT)
The split between f2p and p2p in some skills would help, yet hinder the competiton. In the slow skills, it wouldn't help much at all like mining and smithing... Only skills I see that would enjoy the split are cooking, craftng, firemaking, and possibly runecrafting (all p2p skills would be exempt from p2p and f2p split) So when is this thing going to start!! I'm itching to train already!

do kai5 - November 10, 2008 10:08 PM (GMT)
the only reason i think is a split is for p2p skills, so f2p can participate

squeeki - November 16, 2008 08:05 AM (GMT)
Yeah it will probably be like wood cutting and fishing or something like that.

The I3ob - November 16, 2008 02:56 PM (GMT)
If this is still going count me in

punyruny - November 16, 2008 06:08 PM (GMT)
str lvling competitions :o bannana

starwolf_ftw - November 16, 2008 07:06 PM (GMT)
Golden should make this first part of the competition training in a combat skill (atk, str, def, range, mage) one of those. That way it's a goal for us to raise our combats and do much better at the next war! ;)

wudupyo15 - November 24, 2008 03:47 PM (GMT)
Sounds like a great Idea props to you guys :D
I need to raise mly cb lvl

3monightmar3 - November 25, 2008 07:15 AM (GMT)
lmao...im the only n00b who voted no :P

Granlee0 - November 26, 2008 09:53 PM (GMT)
Sounds good I'm in.

emobottom - November 26, 2008 10:45 PM (GMT)
