Well, strength pures generally have 40 attack, whatever strength you want, say 60, and low defence. Most people have around 10 but i personally stick to 1 to keep combat as low as possible. It will be harder to train but imo its worth it. You can have 37 prayer if you want protect from melee but then that's not really a pure.

alright nice that makes sence ill keep my def at 1

a lotta pures stop at like 32 pray actually just for the ultimate strength pray... cuz it rlly helps... yea keep it at 1 defense, cuz once u get high str, theres gonna be like no difference between having 1 or 10 defense... however if u want 40 def might be good... but only l8er on...

If you raise your def at 40, it'll make a rune pure...

i like 44 pray pures but thats only good if u wanna use ranged also which doesnt reli apply to this...

If you are making a pure, don't refer to guides and such, nearly 100% of guides out there will not get you the perfect pure.

One thing you should know is that there is no such thing as a str pure. A str pure is only good against other 1 def pures. Even against pures with 5 def wearing steel, str pures will lose nearly all the time. Basically if you want to be a str pure, you have to run away from anyone wearing steel+ and hunt down pures with 1 def. I recommend you get range and mage as well, as pures require all three stats high, as well as high HP to be good.

If you really want to be a str pure, here's what you do.

You want to get 40 atk, and your str should be as high as possible. 31 pray is a must. The 15% from ultimate strength will add more damage than having 9 extra strength. The break-even point is at lvl 60 str. That means lvl 60 str with 31 pray will give you the exact same combat level and damage as lvl 69 str 1 pray, except that pray is temporary and you have to wear robes. At 60 str, you shouldn't even be pking, so you can get 31 pray as early as you want.

There's two types of pures that I recommend in f2p, the quick and easy, and the standard.

The quick and easy is this:

40 atk
67 str
70 range
1 pray
1 def

All it is, is a range/2her. This is the highest level that range/2hers will be useful. This pure is slightly below the level of str pure at its break-even point as a mentioned above. You will basically beat all other pures and mains as well. Do not use 2h if the enemy is wearing black+. After you gain a few combat levels, you'll still be really good, but str pures with 31 pray will have an edge over you.

The standard pure is this:

40 atk
80 str
80 range
60+ mage
44 pray
1 def

This is the best all around pure. It is the best in almost every situation except against str pures, but at this level, str pures will realize that their build is useless and become a standard pure, so you'll rarely encounter a str pure. You don't have to have exactly these stats, it's just a basic layout. As an individual, you will be beating mains your lvl 100% of the time, and against other pures, it's basically a test of skill. These pures are the most dangerous during wars. Overheads + proper hugging can easily last your entire inventory of food, plus the fact that 44 pray + 80 range will tear through rune like paper. If mains don't put up protection from range fast enough, they can easily die in one volley of arrows.
