I would like to make this thread to spell out the basic tale of what happened to our three beloved species who have been laid to rest, the Zebodi, the Quaina, and the Kenazi.

The Zebodi, the oldest of the three, were prospering in their island home. Having secured a tin like metal, they managed to use their monopoly to quell the war with the Qualuala and Ankharuman tribes, who were ready to fight to the death over religious tension. Trading with the Kezzymor Naft tribe led us to acquire copper, and soon we were fashioning bronze. But in just two years after the War That Almost Was, after being harrassed by strange, purple Zebodi, war again loomed. This would prove to be our tribes second to last war. Pulling up in war galleys, royally adorned naval officers began placing the Keekala Nyzzald in strange metal bindings, as well as the rest of the tribes on the island. We were slaves.

After a century or so of servitude, our particular tribe's name was lost among the many from the chain of islands. Any Zebodi from these islands became known as Slave-Islanders. The Islanders would suffer a total of four hundred and eighty years of service before laws would begin changing around the world to emancipate them. They were given a small plot of land, farmable and rich in resourses. Given this new opprotunity, the Free Republic of Islania was a haven for escaped and former slaves. But in fifty years, the War To End All Wars broke out, dragging into it at least one battalion from every established country. Islania was the only to remain neutral for the first eight years of conflict, but when it was forcefully taken over by its large, hostile neighbor, our people were used as living shields to absorb cannon and rifle fire.

There were no survivors. Islania was no more. The Keekala Nyzzald were wiped from the face of the earth.

---

The Quaina, which were doing fine in their swampy environment, were just too small. In a world of giants, they were too easy of prey. Just large enough to feed the young of these collassal predators, and small enough to pose no threat, our numbers dwindled. In a last ditch attempt at survival, the Quaina fled south, eventually reaching a tropical paradise. Here, there was water aplenty, yet green vegetation. No reeds, no huge predators. Just a quite jungle home. Unfortunately, we were even less prepared to withstand the predators here, and a race of reptillian apes quickly wiped us out. The age of giants as here to stay.

---

The Kenazi, on the planet of extremes, were just emerging as a species. Barbaric floating pancakes though they were, they were hardy and tough to kill. Unfortunately, their planet's erratic rotation patterns would have it collide with another nearby planet. Needless to say, even the tough little red pancakes were demolished in a few short moments.

---

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all those who took part in the Zebodi, Quaina, and Kenazi games. I am very sorry they had to end, but I feel it is for the best. I hope you will take the time and play Anabasis, which I will pour just as much of my soul into as I did with the Zebodi those few summers ago. Thank you all so much for the memories.

Yes, unfortunately, they all had to have a 'final end' to them, for two reasons.

The first of these reasons is largely philosophical. For one, voters will not be satisfied with 'we did well'. They want more intricate histories than 'we went on to conquer the universe', because that goes infinately. I, being largely human, and limited in the amount I can type. I cannot type the infinite. Also, when we take a deeper look into the human psyche...

...As much fun as I'm sure that would be, the second reason is that I like things to die. O.o Die... die...

Did you at least tell this to the people on GameFaqs? that would be mean just to tell the people here. I like the endings as I to like death, but its just a little mean to be talking about exoside (however you spell it) , for 3 different species... Shame on you... wink.gif
for some reason im really sarcastic today... NOT!

First off, hooray for our diplomatic efforts having paid off! We managed to quell the war between the Ankharuman and Qualuala, I'll take solace in that fact. How many other tribes could manage to claim that they stopped a religious war?

Having said that, I am hardly surprised at the fates of the three species. It's classic DS.

I know, but I like giving Sage a REALLY REALLY hard time. He usually makes me cry on the inside, and I like revenge.
(not really)
Im just giving him crap and he knows it though. I do agree with you though

Since they were once so intertwined, I feel I also need to share what remains of the Crystalli and Xivai. For the most part, both are dead - not in their universe, but just in the fact that I can no longer devote the time necessary to keep them flourishing as they once were.

The Crystalli are basically non-existant - perhaps not even canon anymore, since their fans and voters were the first to leave once I started dwindling.

The Xivai are not completely dead - as a game, yes. Their voters have left them. Yet I still maintain a thread on Gamingsteve where periodically, occasionally, I will write a bit about them and their developing culture. Just adding on detail, bits of information, or whatever my imagination and research has mustered up. Its quite an interesting read, if nothing more. Here is a link, if you are interested - http://www.gamingsteve.com/blab/index.php?topic=11013.0
