Big day of a new life

Kevendithas drove his large motor home/workshop into Rush Valley at a fast speed. He'd been travelling for a long time just to get here. He'd knew this was the auto-mail central and he wanted to make big bucks selling his top of the line merchandise. Driving into town still rather fast, he expertly avoided any collisions in the city. He halted his vehicle near a fountain where an auto-mail arm wrestle was being held. A great place to start business, he thought to himself. He pressed a green button near his radio that said "$$ BUSINESS $$" then his workshop unfolded into a shop. A large opening in the middle that where his store would be in. In glass containers were sparkling leg and arm auto-mails under his shop table. And behind him were racks of auto-mails also but of a lesser and cheaper quality. He pressed another green button but on his store table that said "$$ BANNER $$" and then the rest of the motorhome/workshop were covered in banners promoting his shop to create attention and intrest. On top, above Keven it said "Auto-mails for all!" and to the sides it said things like, "HIGH QUALITY AUTO-MAILS FOR GREAT PRICES!!!" or "Your auto mail loose? Come here and get cheap repairs!"

He inhaled deeply and called out to the people around him, "Good afternoon people of Rush Valley! I have many varieties of high quality auto-mails! Made with high quality steels and metals, they're highly durable and quite light." he went on shouting to the public about his goods and quite a bit of people started to crowd around.

Ascalon pushed through the crowd and lay down his busted up arm on the table, "I want this fixed and re-panted." he said, growling at the people who hadn't liked him pushing through all of them.

Keven smiled, first customer. He opened his door and urged him in. "Come in come in! Come to my workshop inside and I'll fix it right up" he said. Today would be a good day indeed. He stepped inside of his workshop, there were racks of tools and auto-mails. In the back was a furnace he used for his smithing, and to the left of it were hand smithed swords, axes, spears and other metal weapons. His works of art. To the right were the same kinds of weapons mixed with alchemy. He walked to his work table, "Here have a seat right there and put your auto-mail on the table." he said, pointing to a high comfortable chair. "So now, what seems to be the problem with your auto-mail?" he asked.

"I busted it to hell tearing the jaw off of a chimera," he growled, he didn't want to talk about it, because he might cause something to slip about his past to people. " the only thing intact is the casing and that's not in too good shape either." he looked at a hand-smithed sword the man had made, It's a lost art... people hardly ever hand-smith weapons anymore. he though, admiring the craftsmanship.

Keven inspected it thoroughly and nodded, "This seems to be almost damaged beyond repair. If you want, I have just the right auto-mail for you if you want a new one. I'll give you a discount for being my first customer."

[Ascalon Arenthia]

"I guess so, but it better be the same as this one." he said, picking up the destroyed arm

Keven smiled, "No worries my friend although its not exactly, exactly the same. It should be a perfect fit and much more durable." he walked to his auto-mail rack and grabbed a polished auto-mail and set it on the table. It was the exact same size and color. "I think this might be what your looking for."

"I guess it works, but can you change the fingertips to points like on this piece?" he said, gesturing at his broken arm. He picked up an axe that he had smithed and spread a fine dust over it, "Is it alright if this is my payment?" he said, putting the broken piece back on temporarily clapping his hands together to complete the circle of transmutation enrgy and placed his hand on the axe. "No one else would be able to do this for you." he said as the axe enveloped the fine black dust and became black as night, with one blade as hot as blue fire and the other as cold as dry ice.

Keven smiled, "So you're an alchemist too eh? I can do fire alchemy rather well, and it seems you can too as well as ice. But thats a pretty cool effect there, but watch this." he walked over to a chest in the corner of the room and took a handful of yellow power and a sword. He made a trasmutation circle and the dust made the sword as bright as day. "I can do the exact opposite, its a special powder thats mixed with different metalic elements and then superheated and grounded into small bits." he explained.

"What's its purpose?" he asked, picking up the sword. "It seems the same." he set it back down and looked around at the workshop. Then took the beaten up arm off since it was no longer any use and he didn't plan on transmuting anytime soon.

"Well, when you apply the powder to the weapon, two transmutation circle appears on it. So when the first its activated it creates a flash of light, and the other turs it to fire."

[Ascalon Arenthia]

"I see, but now, I have to go." Ascalon said, grabbing the new arm and putting it back in it socket wih barely a flinch. "I hope that axe is enough for the auto-mail."

[Aerandir]

Keven smiled, "Oh it should be adequate enough. Pleasure doing business." he walked outside to still see the crowed there, and a few young mechanics fawning over some of his displayed tools and forged weapons. "Sorry if I made you all wait my friends! But I have just finished a sale. Now who's next? How bout you young mechanic, I see you like this tool set here. I'll give it to you half pri--" but he was interupted as a woman screamed. A group of people were being attacked by two large chimeras. They were large lion looking beasts with three large bronze tails, with spikes along its back. They had two large fangs sticking out of their mouth.

What's one of those doing here?! he thought. He took a small metal rod from his belt and put a finger on a small transmutaion circle on it and it extended to five feet. "Back away everyone!" he called out. He put his finger on another circle and it turned into a spear. He rushed to one of the monsters who was about eat a young girl. He threw the spear at its body and made it fall. The girl got up and ran.

Keven jumped on to the beast and grabbe his spear. He pressed another circle and it turned into large hammer and he clubbed the other chimera and knocked off one of its legs. The other chimera got up and he was surrounded. He turned the hammer into a large axe. Both of them charged at him from both sides. He got out of the way and beheaded one of them and blood sprayed out. He made the axe to a sword and stabbed the other beast in the brains.

The group of people watching cheered, but then another woman screamed, and there was four more. "Son of a bitch..."

Ascalon stepped out and saw the mayhem, "YOU IDIOT!!! THOSE CHIMERA AREN'T A PROBLEM!! THOSE ARE!!!" he said, pointing to a pair of humannoid chimera that were terrorizing the people, he pulled out his gun and aimed at one's head, firing and killing it instantly.

Keven nodded ran to help defend the people. So far none of the citizens were killed. He would let his first customer handle the humanoids. To Keven, the large ones were the problem. He swifty killed one by cutting it in half with his sword, but then got knocked aside by one of their tails. I gashed his arm rather deeply. Keven roared as he ran to the one who injurded him, he made it a spear and shoved it down it mouth then turned it to the battle axe and spilled its guts. Gore covered the pavement. He cut the others in half. One of the human ones had a dagger and went to stabbed his heart, but Keven moved out of the way and it missed, although cutting his artery. Blood spurted out as he cut the last chimera in half. He kneeled down holding his blood spilling wound. His world spun around then went into a peaceful darkness.
