You did, unfortunately, miss the deadline. At the time of my last posting, the tally was London - 3, Sofia - 1, Riga -2.

Ugh really.

Why would there be an EU economic summit in a non EU member state, it doesnt make sense.

It'd be like having a NATO summit in Saudi Arabia.

Because Britain is an EU member state? Like, one of it's founding members..?

Yes they left. The post is right here in this forum.

The terms were never worked out but they did and RP'd as it was done if I remember, so.

That's... patently retarded.

Well then, Riga it is.

(Seriously, Britain leaving the EU? Who controls these countries?)

Obviously Schwer didn't do a good enough job getting Merkel to slap Cameron back in line.

Well I guess it's just as well. Britain can now be confined to the third rate power it would be were it not for the European Union :-P

Hey, don't you ruddy Europeans take credit for keeping us 'powerful', we've been a third rate power since 56, we just wield the big stick, sit at the high table and act as America's bitch to make ourselves look and feel important. The 'Great' prefix of Britain is somewhere in the Suez where Eden left it.

The EU Council is having talks this week, which make little sense to not capitalize on.
http://register.consilium.europa.eu/pdf/en...t18911.en11.pdf

Mar. 9 is aimed to be spent talking about the environment, while the 13th is geared toward economics and finance. Some Foreign Affairs come later. Ashton is supposed to be approaching the Iranians about setting a date for nuclear talks (I'll handle that obviously).

Can we add ESA to the schedule? I'd like to start some discussion on that soon for my future space endeavors.

Sure. I guess I'll make a thread...sometime maybe. Unless someone else wants to since I'm half way EU tongue.gif

Yes, I know, the President of the EU Council is technically Herman Van Rompuy of Belgium. But I thought I'd just get things rolling. Angleter, feel free to moderate the meeting from here.

It's open so deemeth me. We don't moderate as we do in RL where the chair of a meeting has to recognize someone to talk. It's freeforall.

Also, I'm not sure why the Greek bailout would even be on the agenda, unless that was from the RL deal to discuss after effects (mostly in light of the Spanish comments).
