Yes I know they got their independence but compared to nations like Canada, Australia etc they are still heavily linked to Britain. The British military maintains most of their defences for example so by attacking and succesfully invading their wanted territory it would have the same effect on the British military as the Falklands. Probably more so actually as not a lot of people have heard of them, they are not a military power in any sense so it would be more embarrasing than defeat to Argentina.

You can say America basically maintains the defences of several tiny countries. Doesn't make those countries part of America.

I know it's hard for some to let go, but the British empire is dead and buried. Some people need to stop acting like the UK has any real influence in the world, when in reality it's become another client state of the United States.

The UK does have military presence in Belize due to the threat of Guatemala, and Belize is a member of the Commonwealth.

You have to remember, us Brits live in an old and ailing former power and thus get excited by any indication suggesting we're powerful. Americans will be the same a few years into the future.

We need something to keep our peckers up. Look at Cameron desperately trying to talk up this no fly zone after cutting 5,000 RAF jobs. We all know this would be a NATO or US op with only British Support however Cameron is trying to make it look like if Gaddafi doesn’t step down he will get the Union Flag up his bottom.

That is not what I am getting at;

Britain or America losses to a small country whilst defending one of their allies is a big embarrasment. So lossing to Guatamala would be a lot worse than lossing to Argentina on that side.

America has a bigger military presence in so called European Powers like the UK and Germany. That still doesn't make them part of America.
Part of the American Empire, yes, but in the British case, their empire is gone. thumbup.png

Belize is considerably smaller than the UK and Germany. Also, the UK is much smaller than the US, what do you expect? I actually think the UK does well for its size, much better than the likes of France and Germany for example.

Well, I don't know what to class my self as, so I'll briefly give you my "thoughts" on a few issues.

Politicians are all cunts. Regardless of what side of politics they
belong to.

Illegal immigration? Sink the boats and forget about them, and throw the ones already here in detention out at sea hundreds of miles from land. F them. They can manage to find 10-20,000 a head to pay people smugglers. If they are legitimate refugees and asylum seekers, contact the nearest embassy or consulate of the country you want to go and live in and arrange to get a visa. Will probably end up costing the same, if not a little cheaper. And you don't risk your life on unseaworthy boats, nor will you have to worry about being one day caught and sent home.

Gays and all that? What they do in "their homes" is their business, not mine. They want to get married? Sure, civil unions should be legal, but it shouldn't be pushed onto different religious denominations. Should they be allowed to adopt kids? No. Kids need female and male role models. Two homosexuals is like having two mothers. Of course, in a lesbian relationship one might be more of a masculine figure then the other.

Muslim immigration and integration into western societies? Big myth. Those who don't integrate should get the f* out. They want sharia law and to turn the west into the shit holes they left behind? Again, get the f* out.

Like the gays, they don't need to be so in your face about it going on tv shows making a big deal about shit like wearing their full body burkha whatever you call it. Nobody gives a toss. You want to wear it, go ahead. We don't want to hear your life f'ing story about why it's your right to wear it.

True story, a few weeks ago a few of us had gathered at a particular beach where you can drive you vehicle on to. We had a little bbq and all that, drinking etc. Anyway there were these muslim ladies there, wearing some burkha hijab or hwatever bathing suites. No joke now. The girls we were with were in skimpy bikinis, it being a 35+ degree day and all.
Muslim ladies proceeded to give dirty looks to said girls in bikinis. Our girls gave them a friendly reminder they were at the beach not a mosque maybe they should dress appropriately. <- This is the sort of shit that these people bring with them. They come to our countries, and try and dictate to us one way or another how we should dress and live. Try telling a chick in Saudi Arabia to wear a bikini, you'll be executed.

Drugs? Marijuana should be legal.
I've never seen anyone after smoking a few bongs go on a rampage beating up people and destroying property. Seen plenty of people who are drunk do that.

Tunisian and Algerian uprising were more or less solved, but left deliberately open-ended for a future potential Tunisian or Algerian player. The Egyptian ones were (relatively) solved, and the rest that have happened IRL (Bahrain, Libya, Yemen) are assumed to not have happened IG. Those events happened after we started this round, and therefore are assumed to not have happened IG.
