Senior Warrant Officer Group: Members Posts: 1707 Member No.: 155 Joined: 26 Oct 2008	Project 1000 Description: Project to re-chamber Existing stocks of MG2A1, MG5A1 and MG6A1 (various versions of FN MAG) to .338 Lapua Magnum. Lessons learned show that in High-altitude fighting the need for long-ranged weapons are all-important. This will be a cheap way to somewhat counter the problem, and also give an edge to Indian units versus potential enemies who relay on calibers with less range. Also, while I don't really care about R&D costs (so long as it's reasonable that your country is working on a project), many of your costs are far too low. The main points for me would be: Armament Armor Active defenses (anti-missile systems, anti-mine systems, etc) Crew Speed Range Dimensions and weight are good, mainly when you're trying to figure out if you can carry the things in some aircraft. Any other notes are good, too: Does it have and special upsides or downsides? Can it fire on the run?
